• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder Owners Event 2013

Got my RSS yesterday and registered today! Soooooooooo many great places to go.

Is this anything like Spyderfest?

Never been to Spyderfest or an owner's group event. I suspect the owner's group is less of a 'party' than Spyderfest, given that BRP will understandably have their own agenda. Can someone who has been to both tell me the difference, and perhaps what to expect?
Thanks

Both are a great time not because of the event as much as the people and the location. Spyderfest will have vendors and plenty to do. The Owners event will not have vendors (except at my place) and will have great riding in the area and BRP puts on a great party on their dime just for us owners.

If you can make it to my BBQ of that Sat. of the owners event you're sure to have a great time there too.

I click on the link in Lamont's post but did not see a place to register. So where do I go.

I click on the attached link and get to a site has Summary, my agenda, confirmation, unregister and share. Every place ask for a confirmation number. Boy, have I lost it. Help

That might be a bad link for you seeing I already registered. Look for this link on the left of the page.

US- 441 Closure between Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee, NC

When making lodging reservations remember that Newfound Gap Road (US-441) is closed to through traffic between Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee, NC due to a landslide at Mile Marker 22 on the North Carolina side of the park. They do not know when it will be repaired. You can access the Smoky Mountain Park site for updates "http://www.nps.gov/grsm/index.htm". The wife and I are registered and can't wait to attend.

Thanks for this information, as we were planning to stay in the Gburg area, and ryde our Spyders to the event via US-441.

In another thread Harry Pottar and I are discussing meeting up and cruisin the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way down. We would love to have you ride down with us. Still workin out details, but the more the merrier and we are flexible. It would be very cool to have a :spyder: infestation on the parkway before the weekend festivities:doorag:

Just registered, so looks like me and the Mrs. will be heading down. First event of any kind that I have been to, should be fun! A lot of the motels were booked, but I did find a nice room at the Clarketon Motel. Looked nice, hope it is! Anyone else going down from West Virginia?

No, just the owners event. The farthest we have ridden was about 2 hours from home, so the 4 hours to the event should be another step to one day going across the country!

Nojive

Are you going to Spyderfest in April?? Great event.

... annnnd, I can now announce: me and the GF are heading to the Owner's Event this year! :ohyea::yes::2thumbs:

Sadly, Spyderfest wasn't possible this year with our schedule, but the Owner's Event time and location hits the sweet spot.

We're actually going to do a cabin rental for a long weekend and meet up with some non-riding friends down there once the Spyder event is done to make the most of our Maggie Valley trip. But we'll definitely be there for both days of the Owner's Event.

Looking forward to finally meeting as many Spyderlovers as I can!
