• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Gas Cap video install

Yeah, leave those of us with OEM saddles (the VAST majority) hanging! Are you going to make another how-to video?

I would Mark but I don't have a Spyder with a OEM seat to do it on.

Oh wait I do have that ST. Man that's going to wait another day, I'm all wore out from this install. :joke:

That was hilarious! Should have drug it out more and made it 28 minutes long... :D

Maybe walk the camera into the house and have video of a few different clocks to demonstrate exactly what clockwise means.

:p It's just too complicated. I think I'm gonna make an appointment with my dealer to have it done :banghead: Budro

Excuse me... Sir??
I only have digital clocks. Does that mean that I have to wait until Daylught Savings time starts on March 10th to make the exchange? :yikes:

Great video; it even rivals some of Randy's!

Alright, I'll cut you some slack. But only because you showed remarkable tech savvy doing the entire install with only one hand.

Great instructional video, I did watch a couple of times but still may have it installed be my dealer, I don't want to void my warranty.

Please note:

Measure twice cut once, gas cap should be marked with a large red dot to indicate correct orientation before installation.

Safety googles and fire proof safety gloves should be worn at all times.

Fire extinguishers should be on hand along with EMT safety staff.

A block of wood is also ideal placed under the seat, in case the seat closes prematurely so it won't trap you arms.

Also how does one recommend disposing of the old gas cap?

Great video, but as always you make it look so easy.

Thank you for the video. I guess I got lucky. I went ahead and installed mine as soon as I got them--but it turns out I was mostly correct. :roflblack::roflblack:

Great video if you happen to be Left handed - I am Right handed, Is there any chance you could do another one for
Right Handed persons or are we going to be forced to find a Left Handed friend or even a Left Handed Dealer to do the install for us

Mind you its often said the Left hand dosen't know what the Right hand is doing - In this case it may be true

Thanks Lamonster

My budget for this video only had enough room for one installer or one camera guy so I had to do both. It may not have took quite as long if I could have used both hands or my right hand. I'm right handed too. :doorag:

I spoke with Crystelle; she said that the procedure is the same for both right and left-handed installations!
:ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:
So I guess you could just watch the video in a mirror if that made things clearer for you...
