• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyderfest 2013 Group Photo

Amy and I were thinking how nice it would be to get a group photo of all the Spyderfest attendees this year. One thought was to use grass paint and spell out "Spyderfest US 2013" on a large open area, maybe Finley River Park then have everyone take a spot on the lines for a photo. The camera would have to be elevated for it to come out right but I think it would make a cool picture. Not sure how difficult it would be to organize this. Anyone have any thoughts on this or a better idea for a group photo?

Great idea. I have pictures from back when my Dad rode and did the Gypsy Tour. They always had a panarama pic of everyone. Some are hanging at one of the Harley dealerships and it has been neat to go in and pick out my father in them.

If the picture is taken from far-enough away, I might not break the lens!
But no guarantees.
They used to take pics like that up at Lake George prior to the big parades...

Does the local fire department have a snorkel lift basket? We used one for a group photo at Going Coastal at Skidaway Island State Park in GA, which is flat land near Savannah, GA.

Or we could be staged in a large parking lot where there is a multiple story building? Put the photographer on the roof.

There will be a group photo taken at 3 locations.
We want this to be about fun and getting this group all in for a special pic might drive everyone nuts!!:gaah:
we have it setup to get group pic of the event without infringing upon everyone's good time.

Need to make sure you and I are not standing side by side. That'd ruin the whole shot.

I'ive been in a photo like that. It was taken from the rook of a 3-story building. It's an interesting image to have a bunch of people crowded into the forms of letters. But you can't see any detail of the people involved.
