There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Tire survey...

Interesting that the rear is ready for replacement when the bearings need to be repacked.. I'll chalk it up as perfect timing.....
Not if you have Michelin Pilot 225 55 15: over 50,000 mile nojoke

Oh! So while the bike is apart for the engine; just swap on some fresh shoes!
Question though: When those (approximately) 25,000 mile lifespan bearings let go; does that screw up the wheel also?

Not the wheel but belt, hub and front sprocket. Last year over a 20K miles bearings the rear hub catch on fire... :opps:

:yikes: Big eyes and brown shorts!!
(Note to self: no rear tire chages without new bearings!)

Ditto: I'm pushing 22K on orig bearings. Second tire, a General Altimax RT was put on at 11200 and is not quite down to wear bars so its going to be changed this spring, along with new bearings. Front OEM still look teriffic.

Ill do all maintenance but bearings and valve clearance check. He will have to adjust belt tightness when he pulls the wheel... Ill supply tire =)

I was getting anywhere from 13500 to 18000 miles on my OEM rear tires always 2 up. I have gone to the Michelin Hydroedge in the rear now and have about 18500 miles on it and expect to get at least another 6000 to 7000 miles before I need to replace it. The first set of front tires were replaced at 9200 miles because of an alignment issue. After the alignment I got about 36000 miles and on the second set after the alignment I got about 26000 miles on them before I decided to go to the General Altimax before a trip and only have a few thousand on them but I expect to get even more miles with these tires. A friend had them put on last year and show no wear at all so far.

Spyderjockey: what size Mich? I'm collecting data for my next rear tire. Michelin's are looking good to me.

It's a 215/60/15 and I believe I am running about 21 PSI in it. I am real happy with it and it's excellent in the rain!!

Stock fronts we got 34,000 & could have extended them, but I had uneven wear that I didn't catch soon enough, so I just kept rotating them every 6000 til I just replaced them.

The 1st stock rear tire we really really pushed it & got 21,000. The 2nd stock rear only had 13,000 on it, and it was still looking good, but we had to replace it due to it having a 1 inch cut in the center of the tread.

Just replaced all 3 & decided against going with stock again, and instead went with General Altimax's all around, so we'll see how well these fair for us.

Cyncy.....what air pressure do you have in your front and rear tires? I have about 7,000 miles on my bike and I am seeing the wear bands.......

10k on stock rear, 12k on Kuhmos. Probably get about 12k out of the new Toyo.

First set of fronts I never rotated - could have and run for another several thousand, but decided to replace them at 12k due to the inside wear. The set I have now I rotated and looks like I should get well over 20k out of them.
