• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ROKU vs cable question..

If I am already able to download movies/videos from the internet at pretty much no cost and I have a cable provider, is there any benefit to ROKU? ROKU isn't meant to provide the normal and pay channels that you get from your cable provider, correct? My main interest is watching the different series on the pay channels.

Two different things: ROKU works great with things like Netflix or Youtube, but doesn't yet cover all streamline websites, although it does cover much more than regular internet enabled TV. If your TV is Internet enabled through a computer attached to the TV (I have that), then ROKU will be a waste of money. My friend has ROKU at his house, but he got it to streamline a specific website, which actually works better through ROKU, than it does through regular PC connection. So, my vote is: if the TV is internet enabled through manufacturer, then get ROKU, cause it will have more options to streamline through. If the TV is just connected to a PC or a laptop, don't waste your money.
