• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Custom Dynamics or Tricleds ....

I am wanting to add front fender strips, side lights and rear lights that blink as turn signals. I have seen both from each vendor. I am looking for feedback as to what made folks chose the brand they did. Vendors - please respond regarding the products you produce. Nothing wrong with blowing your own horn but in keeping the answer kind, just do not put the others product down.
  • install procedures
  • customer service
  • material workmanship
  • durability and warranty
  • Is the item complete with good directions and electrical connectors (old style wire taps or Positaps)

nothing against CD
Tricled invented them and nobody I dealt with so far included CD just could not even half match theirs customer care, kindness and promptness .
Have Tricled on 2+ years and work and look like new.
but again - nothing bad I can say about CD so.....

The short answer,...Yes.

I did a combination of both, based on my vision of what I wanted, and what others bought and their experiences.

Nose LEDs, rear trim brake lights and fender strips are Tric-LED. Bright Sides and trunk lid brake light was CD. Then I added the Glo-Riders to the front wheels.

Three vendors, one well lit bike. :)

From my personal perspective, and mine alone,... Reggy with Tric-LED gives a very personal touch to all of his products and services, and he's a big supporter of this site and its community.

All the products and directions from all three vendors are very good. No weak links there. They would all welcome a phone call if you want to pre-plan your strategy, or if you have additional questions or trouble. It would be good to make sure you have all the right adapters and parts before you start stripping tupperware. Just gotta trust me on that. :)

Good luck, and if you want some more info, send me a PM.

Thanks --Pete

No doubt; we're blessed with a plethora of GREAT sponsors in here! :2thumbs:
So picking one is a bit like picking out a favorite child...
I've dealt with Reggy a bit more, so he'd get my vote as well.... But Custom Dynamics is also a great choice!

TricLed!

TrciLed has provided me with best in class products and customer service:thumbup:

I purchased from both. Both give great service. The only negative experience was purchasing the oversized brake pedal for the parking brake (for a 2008 GS). Reggie did try to correct the problem. But, since you are only interested in lights, either one is fine.

I have a combo of all three and more. Reggy is aces in my book. He's also the only one that I've met personally (SpyderFest 2012). TricLED is a solid co. with great customer service. I've talked with Will and Dave (I think that's right) from GloRyder's on several occasions and they are awesome, as well. I had one issue with CD and they resolved it promptly with a replacement Bright Side ASAP. You can't go wrong with any of them from my experience.

Tric-LED

I have used both vendors, found that Tric-LED was better to deal with, fast shipping, and easy to install. That's IMHO.

I have bought from both many times and have always been taken care off, awsome customer service:yes:..but do stay away from
ESI cyc

BOTH ARE SUPPER TO DEAL WITH !!!

I just bought a bunch of lights from Custom Dynamics. Great Customer service !!!
I bought: mud flap lights, fender tips, LED bulbs, Channel lights,RT brightsides, Amber Day runners, Amber brightsides. All the lights arrived when they said they would :yes:

I just need to wait until spring when I get the RT out of storage to install the lights:yikes:

I have both, so my RT is doubly blessed. Reggie is just an awesome guy. He's a good role model for other businesses to follow. I can't say anything bad about any of the vendors on my bike which includes TricLED, CD, KewlMetal, RAM Mount. I'm just glad BRP isn't in the lighting business. It would cost twice as much and cause a LM.

:thumbup:I have bought many items from both and have never had any issues that were not quickly resolved, awsome customer service:yes:
...but, in my personal opinion ESI cycle products are the only ones I would not recommend-one complaint to many!:banghead:

Custom Dynamics

Hi, I don't normally like to answer these type of questions, but here are a few things about Custom Dynamics

- Main focus in lighting and modules for Metrics, Spyders, HDs
- We strive to have the best customer service, our policy is all phones calls are answered, all emails are answered same day, orders placed up to 5pm EST will ship the same day
- We try to keep all products in stock so we can ship same day, if a product is out of stock customer is notified then given weekly updates until the order is shipped.
- We use only the best LEDs on the market, our products may not be the cheapest but we try to keep a reasonable price with the best LEDs and customer service
- Free UPS Ground shipping on orders over $150, coupon loyalty code for repeat buyers

As far as Reggie and TricLEDs, while I have no purchasing experience with them :) , I have only heard good things about their products and support.

I hope this helps answer your questions.

Thanks Dave

I have both. And no complaints from either one. Whatever floats your boat. Or in this case, what ever lights your Spyder.

I have purchased from Custom Dynamics several times and received great service and fast shipping.:thumbup: I also like that if I place an order before 5pm EST I receive my items the next day at normal or free shipping since I'm one state away from them.

Do not purchase from Black Widow Accessories whatever you do, they have a lot a complaints aginst them.

I have products from both. But I must say I prefer Reggy over anyone. But both are good companies.
