• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wasn't a long ride but it was a good one. The pics just don't do it justice nojoke

Isn't it the truth about the pics! I have been wowed by the scenery before, with the trees ablaze in the sunlight, only to find the pictures I took to be something less. Maybe it is the lack of the wide-angle view your eyes take in, or maybe it is just the way digital pics turn out. I miss Kodachrome!

Fall color pictures are also my favorites. But others are right on when they say the camera just does not do the real thing justice. That's is one reason I don't do a lot of Alaska pictures any more--you get the "idea" of the shot--but just don't get the "being there" experience.

:agree: Not only does the camera fail to capture what the eye sees, it fails to capture what the soul feels.

Beautiful ride:)

We went out for a quick ride and was out for over an hour:2thumbs:
. A little cool but not cold. Found a back road with over hanging trees. It was beautiful. Great ride ,great day.:)

Lookin' good, Lamont. Glad the color is out up there. Heading up your way in the morning.

We leave Sunday for Tellico Plains, the Cherahola Skyway and the NC Mountains.

Next week we have reserved seats on the Smoky Mountain Railway out of Bryson City that traverses the Nanthala Gorge. It's a five hour trip that somehow we have missed taking in the past.

Hope the colors are still vibrant.

We just got back from riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. The colors were phenomenal. Good time of year to go.
