• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Flag on antanna

I found that the Third Journey flag for SpyderFest this past Spring loosened my antenna. I would recommend something smaller and of a lighter material. Also, put it nearer to the bottom of the antenna. You can zip tie it in place too.

If you keep the flags lower on the antenna it will not bend or break it. This can be accomplished by using a rubber Grommet or washer.

Try to zoom in on pic below.

flag poles

I bought flag poles that the mounting is behind the tag. I've had them for a year, and they do great.

Has anyone attached a small flag to the antenna of a RT? if so, does it cause any damage.

As a few have posted, it WILL BREAK the antenna.

I had a small flag that was mounted on a small round wood dowel. Had it zip tied to the RT antenna. Lasted about 2 months then got home one day and the antenna was gone. Snapped it just below the housing on the RT.

Thank you, as that was the set up I was planning on using (other than making the dowel smaller) for my antenna.

I've had a flag on my ESI shorty antenna for the last two years… NO problems, breaks, loosening, or loss of paint. I can't think of any other reason to have an antenna on a bike that has an iPod connector.
