• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ebay prices

I can't believe the prices listed on Ebay - there's a NEW 2011 RTS SE5 for under $20K, a NEW 2012 base RT for under $16K, and a new RT622 for a "buy it now" at $2250. All from dealers. If you're looking to buy, now seems to be the time….

I agree, I saw an Orbital Blue 2010 RT22 trailer (New) for $1999.99 located in Minn. Some good deals out right now.

Similar discounts in Cycle trader (Dealers) The rebate ends 31 October and the prices will be at there lowest Later in OCT as its getting cold and people shy away from buying? For those who ride ALL winter its like an early Christmas!!

If anyone takes up a dealer on these offers, it would be interesting to find out if that was the "real" price they write you up for when purchasing it and driving it off the lot. Some of these are so good that they sound like a "bait & switch" scam.

I would also be wary about dealer prep on these. These dealers have to make a buck somewhere and if they are not on the sale--then where is it?

I am always wary of "to good to be true" stuff.

Maybe this is their cost they're selling at. Can't sell'm for what their asking. Winters coming on and they have inventory tax. Maybe they get a great tax break if they show a loss. I'm curious to know what it actually cost to make the Spyder base model.

The Spyders we looked at on eBay added $595 dealer prep, etc on to the listed price (and didn't include sales tax), but they were still great prices. The rebate from Can-Am is included in the listed price; you won't see the rebate on top of the low price. We just bought our new RT Limited off eBay from a dealer for the listed price in the ad, so we can verify the price they are advertising is correct and not a "bait & switch scam. (well, not the $2150 someone else posted...I'm assuming that was missing a zero).

Think about it, 2013's coming out soon which may have some real improvements over the current model. If you're a dealer do you really want to hold on to current stock or do you want to cover your costs and gear up for the lastest and greatest Spyder?

:agree:

If the new 2013 have major upgrades/improvements then no one would want a 2012 unless at a great price. Clear them out now make room for the 2013's. This not a good time to try and sell your own 2012 used.

They NEED room for the New Latest and Greatest Models and many are willing to let the 2012 and earlier inventory go for Just About cost!!!!!!!!!! Plus ---Every month they hang on to them cost them Interest Costs -- October is Christmas Shopping tme!!!:lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie:

I suggest it works like the automobile business. Dealers get rebates on 2012 units they sell so can lower the prices prior to 2013 models....improved or not....they are a year old and worth less to the customer. Even if improved, buying a "year old" model can result in good savings. Additionally, the eBay prices make good bargaining power with your local dealer....
