• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a strange request

I would like to find someone in the Lincolnton, Hickory, or Mooresville NC area that will let me take some measurments off their Spyder. I know this sounds a little strange but I am in the process of building a reverse trike from a Honda Goldwing and would like to get some measurments off the body. I will be extremely carefull not to scratch anything. Let me know if you can help me.

Thanks.... Jerry

I am in Canada, so can't help.but I am a big Honda fan and hope you keep us posted on your project. Have a Honda Rubicon ATV and a Honda pressure washer and neither has given me any problems.

Research the Spyder development problems before you get too far into your project. BRP found the Spyder to be too unstable and almost canceled it altogether. They then teamed with Bosch Electronics (Germany) who developed the vehicle stability control system which incorporated several computer systems along with antilock brakes, etc.

I don't know if the Goldwing platform would fare any better, but you may find yourself in way over your head in headaches and costs before you make it work.

I'd love to read more about the Spyder development. You have any links you can share? Thanks!

I'm sure that we're all pretty darn interested in how your project develops... Good Luck, and we're waiting for pictures...

I guess the pressure washer part was what did it eh Josh! It is just that I can leave that damn thing for years, and after two pulls away it goes!
