• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where's the radio?

Where is the radio located in a RT? I'm thinking my is or has died off? Can't seem to get it to work anymore? Fuse is OK in the forward fuse box. Want to check to see of there is a connection problem or another fuse?

The radio it's self. I think I need to check connections? The antenna is tight.

The set up I have is listed on the mods section.
I have a Delfi Roady for XM. I put that in the trunk in a thing I made for it out of Kydex.
The power plug has a transmitter on it for FM. I've had it set on 88.1 FM. I tune the Spyder's radio to 88.1 FM and play whatever I have the XM set on thru my radio.
Lately it has been cutting on and off as far as sound coming out of the speakers. At first I thought the XM antenna I bought that is made for cycles was bad. Then I thought it was the trees blocking the signal. But I was not getting any thing for the last several days in open wide areas.
I have checked all the connectors to the Roady. Then I started tuning the radio around today for different stations. 'Nuttin honey'. :banghead:

So, this is why I want to check the connectors to the radio it's self. Then it could be a radio gone bad?

Thanks for the input.

Bruiser and I both read your post, and unfortunately, we really don't know. Is there anything in your manual that may be able to help? Sorry we couldn't be any more help.

If you take the grab handle off you can see the radio. I if you take the side panel off you can see the connectors better. I don't remember if the antenna connection is in the front or around on the back though.

I found it but there is nothing I can check on it. The antenna connects from behind. All connections looked good. Guess I'll have to go to dealer and have them check it thru the computer hook up?

I will test my Roady in my truck to make sure that's not the problem.

Good Luck with your "hunt" John.

Does your Delphi have an audio out jack that you can run into the Aux input jack in the rear trunk? Would be a much better set up than using an FM modulator. Just select Aux from your audio controls. This would also leave your FM band unhindered in case you decide to switch to FM instead of XM. You should have received an patch cord to go from a headphone jack to the 7-pin jack in the rear trunk.

There is a campaign out for water intrusion on the radio connector. Not sure which connector, but I was having flaky issues and just had mine replaced under warranty. All is well now.
