I went by Pensacola Motor Sport Friday for my "End of Work Week Therapy", and the Red SE5 was gone:dontknow:. I couldn't even sit on the Silver :spyder:.:cus: It was gone too.
Do you know of another dealer near here. I sure would like to test ryde one.
Funny thing...After reading your post and translation of Iktome Luta, Today I was getting a book to teach my K art class next week and ran across "Iktome and the Coyote" in the school library. It was cool "knowing".:2thumbs: Thanks for the knowledge.:2thumbs:
"Knowledge Is King!":firstplace:
I know a little about how you feel, I wasted no time in running over to close the deal. Took about half an hour to raid two of my accounts and sweet talk Sunkawakakwi out of an additional three grand to make up the difference. Hamburger, beans, and greens the rest of the month but at least no payments and of course no wait for a loan approval.
This had been planed pretty much back in May but for the ordered SM-5 that has never showed up. At that time I financed a portion of a farm tractor at their 0%-for-60months instead of buying it outright knowing that I would pay a rather high interest rate on the Tryke loan and kept the savings for the Spyder.
The name Shunkmanitu is a child's name given when I was wearing little but tiny jocky shorts and running around a Pima Reaervation in Phoenix. "Uncle" Charlie, an Apache neighbor, started calling me Little White Wolf/Coyote for my pure white hair and my friendship with his Coyote/Dog mixed blood. It is said that he taught me the proper method to mark territory around our yards and allowed me an occasional chew on the unused end of a soup bone.
Though Uncle spoke only Apache and Mexican, Mom spoke Mexican, English, and Lakota so, except when my other blood line, Cherokee speaking Uncles were there we had little commuication problems. I didn't speak much at the time but the Pup did teach me some Moon Songs.
Though the Coyote is known to run with the SpYder and get into occasional trouble he is also a teacher. In additonal to my early years on coastal and inshore patrols of VietNam I operated and maintained Electronic Warfare equiptment and earned my Master Training Specialist rating in the Navy.
My degree is a BS in Biology Education though after a couple of years I refused to return to teaching and remained watching ladies in swimwear from behind the counter at an Alabama beach convience store. The
OTHER BS degree came from dealing with two months every year of Spring Breakers bound for trouble on our beaches. The daily 50 mile commute along the sugar white sands by motorcycle was seldom a chore. It was the small IRA from those thirteen years that put
Iktome:spyder:Luta in my driveway.
Getting back on the open road is returning my skin to the proper color it was as a child in the AZ sun and age is taking my years of long dark locks back to white. Guess that is just another around in the "circle of life"! As it was then and again now, all I have to do is to play and enjoy life!
