• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dear Hondaman, be prepared for a new experience...

Rode my motorcycle today and had 2 people pull out right in front of me.nothing new.do people pull out less on the spyder?I still have 30 days +or- to find out on my own.

...until the Spyders become more common place! So far, in the 7,000+ miles, no one has pulled out in front of my yellow Spyder.

:sour:However...people have followed me home, to work, to the store, etc. Kind, curious, and well-meaning people have cost me many hours of delays. A crowd of 14 blocked my way for over an hour, allowing their kids to crawl on my bike, making me late to meet with the in-laws. Several cars have pulled over and made me pass or go around them for whatever reason. On the negative side, I have been almost knocked off the road by bad drivers that insist on taking cell phone pictures while driving 80+ miles per hr. Others weaving in and out of lanes to catch up and take a look at my Spyder. :(

My pet peeve??? You would never, ever go up to a Harley Davidson that did not belong to you or someone you know and touch it! But I catch people touching my Spyder all the time, playing with the clutch, brakes, etc. It's like the general public think that I am some sort of publicity stunt.:banghead:

Not only are they not pulling in front of me (too busy taking a good look) but more people are yielding to me. It's great and hope it doesn't wear off.

I had a woman pull out, looking right at me, so close the ABS kicked in and the horn woke her up. When I pulled up beside her at the next light, she said "sorry, I didn't see you". Wonder if she could see a Freightliner, maybe not, if it was yellow.

Haven't had anyone pull out in front of me yet; but a log truck cut me off. He was weaving thru traffic as if he were going to a fire. I wansn'tthe only one he cut off so I don't think it was because I was on the :spyder:he just was a bad driver. Where's a cop when you need one. :2thumbs: Most people just want to look, take a picture with cell phone, yell at you to talk while driving or at a stop light.
Ain't it great too be so popular - where was the :spyder: when I was younger. LOL

I have had one or two people pull out in front of me but I think they would have done the same in a car. It was at a 4-way stop and these are just jerks that think they don't have to stop or take their turn. What is nice, quite often if my husband and I are both riding our spyders and he stops first, I will wait my turn but I usually get waved on to go right behind him.

What frustrates me is when I am on my way to work or in a hurry and someone slows way down to see you and they end up holding you up or holding up other traffic with their gawking.

Oh the price of riding such a great machine.

AND DO WHAT :cus:
I will do this:
tongue-047.gif

finger-020.gif

But HDX will do the do'in

Short Answer NO. Much more visible on my Spyder than on my 2 wheeler. Part of that is frontal area and part is 2 headlights, 2 fog lights and 2 amber fender tip lights. Ryde Safe and Enjoy:thumbup:

I often notice people who would normally pull out, and they have lots of time to do so, but they wait so they can get a closer look. I've also had people in front of me pull over and wait until I pass.;)
