• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I needto replace my now led lights with better quality ones..
but not sure what to get..
I ride mostly at night so really need the bike to shine..
I viewd triceled.com site ..they have so much to choose from..I dont have a clue where to start..Also want something thats not too dificult to install..
any suggestions.
I am in Canada, not sure if shipping would be an issue

I'd suggest TricLed fender lights, underglow kit, and project night :) We have these and love the way the Spyder lights up at night ! For an extra brake light you could add TricLeds extra rear brake light for the RT.

I'd also suggest Custom Dynamics Triple play unit to add more break lights to your Spyder ( makes rear turn signals brake lights as well).

Makes us much more visible at night. By the way we have a 2011 RSS.

Have fun adding lights ! We were able to do it ourselves and didn't have much of an issue -- Tric Led sells quick connect kits to avoid having to do a lot of soldering and his directions are great !

TricLED.fender lights to start with. Dead simple to install. Halo is really nice if you are willing to dig a bit deeper (though not hard if you have any electrical competence at all)
Another option is gloryder wheel lights. They simply replace the cap on your wheel and screw in. Takes no time at all.

Your best bet is to give Reggy at Tricled (sponsor) a call and he will work out the best combination for you. You just wont believe how helpful he is. http://tricled.com/TricLed.com/Home.html

LED Lights

On our RT-S we used both Custom Dynamics and Tric LED. In the Custom Dynamics line we used the HMT rear brake light, front fender tips, MagicFlex LED Channelz Dual Color, LED reflectors, and LED mud flaps. The Tric LED we used white LEDs on the chrome and two LED strips that work in conjunction with the HMT brake light. Also, we have the Clearwater Glenda's puck lights on the front A arms.

thanks.. I want to start out mild.. and take my time turning wild LOL..
I already have the hubcaps light, glowryder
I was thinking the tricle fender lights and the halo..
I called reggie but no answer will give another go later today
Complete kit is offered with a choice of an on/off switch for $109.95or
a Halo kit with multifunction 4 ch remote for $159.95

there is a distribitor of the tricplate in canada .
so this is whats was suggested.
fender lights
day run lights
halo rings (not sure i like those)
16 inch and break lights

The remote I have mixed feelings on, honestly. It's nice being able to make things flash and strobe and what have you, but with the exception of the breathing you probably won't use any of them while driving (legally), and the remote is a bit hard to use with gloves on. I'd instead recommend getting the fuze fz1 block from Reggy. It's a switched fuze block that can turn on everything for you when the bike turns on. A few advantages to this: you can't forget to turn off your lights and come out to a dead battery. The wire that tells the fuze block to turn on can be interrupted with a switch you can mount on your dash (sold separately) so you can turn your stuff on and off whenever you want. A nice big switch can be used easily with gloves on, and depending on where you hook that wire in, everything will still turn off when the bike turns off so you don't have to worry about leaving them on accidentally. This is actually how I set up mine because I got tired of futzing with the remote.

heheh this is getting more confusing!
I just wanted simple lights on my bike to i can be seen at night. not too interested in being lit up light a christmas tree.
I was suggested other items but i still like the halo glow, the halo wasnt suggested LOL

I suggested the halo kit but called it an under glow... Lol :) we love our halo kit and we have the remote version.

LED Lights

Our RT-S does not have a problem with being seen at night. I lead a ride every month and one of the riders likes to lag behind the group. He states that if he gets to far behind the group he just looks for my Spyder because it stands out from the other bikes.
