• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Too Funny- Spyder 5 Mickey Fisher

Keep em coming!

Question for another future vid, what are some of the criticisms you've seen or heard from die-hard Harley types?

Mickey!
You are the bestest!

Here's one for you:
When I first got my GS in July of 2008, I stopped for gas at a rural gas station here in Michigan. I was next to a Honda trike. The owner and I had an intelligent conversion about the Spyder. Then 2 locals came out of the building and approached me with wide eyes.

"Hey, did you build that?"

I replied "Yes. I got so sick of not being able to ride my snowmobile year-round that I ordered a kit off the Internet called Snow-Mo-Wheels. It runs $1,500.". They were sooooo impressed. The Honda guy was laughing so hard he had to walk away!

A few months later, I found a website. There is really a company out there that sells kits to make snowmobiles street legal...starting at $6,500! :yikes:

Sue's only had hers 2 weeks and we've already heard "does it steer in the front or the back?" I guess we'll hear more from the sounds of this thread...

Micky you have mad talent. There must be a book of crazy questions that non Spyder owners have because I have heard all of them! The strangest one though was; How do you go around curves seeing how you can't steer it? my jaw dropped and I just looked at him, got on my Spyder and drove away. You can not fix stupid!:banghead:

Wife's friend told me once. "a bike has two wheels, a trike has three, what you have is a monstrosity". I forgive her because I know her husband, and what she has to put up with.

"Thats not a real bike"

"Why?"

I love the "why".

Awesome. I get the snowmobile thing all the time!

Me in a conversation with a HD owner: I had never rode a bike before. HD owner,"you still haven't" I JUST SMILED:yes:

Well, at least they were clever, right?

I was asked not too long ago "Can you land this thing anywhere you want?"

Love the video Mickey!

SilverFox:clap:

That's a good one, and thank you!

Went to a UK Show Americiana (The Heatbeat of the USA in the UK) a couple of weeks ago

You could get a Pre booked discount for Anyone wishing to attend the event as an bike exhibitor but you must arrive on an
Amercian Vehicle - Anyone not on an Amercian vehicle would be asked to pay the full price

I know the Can-AM Spyder is from Canada but because it is so popular in the USA they allowed us to ride in under those circumstances

At the main entry point they were checking to ensure all vehicles entering on discount price were American

The Girl on the Control point asked "IS THAT AMERCIAN"

My Answer "YES I SAID - ITS GOT LEFT HAND DRIVE"

Her reply "THATS OK THEN"And in I went

Harley guy.. You got too many wheels.

Me.. One's a spare.

Went to a HD swap meet once. Parked Spydee and walked around for a while. When I came back, there were parked bikes blocking the front and sides of Spydee and an unusual number of people lolling around the area. Jumped on her, backed up further that necessary, and off I went. All those people now know that the Spyder has reverse. LOL

My latest comment:

Little ol' lady today coming out of the drug store: "That is sooo F_:cus:_ing cool!!"

I have thought it over and your right I have not been asked that one, but I have had the alien comment. The one comment I get often that was not covered is when I open the trunk to put the helmet and jacket away people walk over and ask if I am having trouble.

Actually, somebody on these forums made a simillar comment:

"Engine problems mister?"

:spyder2: owner: "Yes... SOMEONE STOLE IT!!!":roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I'm gonna collect all of these new ones for the director's cut edition, haha.

I have one... "Does it ride well?" My answer: "No, it rides like s:cus:t... I just like to torture myself!"

""Wow, 200mph!, will it really do that?"

Never fails...

"Is it front wheel drive?...I said nope 4 wheel drive!" they just stand there trying to figure it out.

We were in Victoria BC in June and waiting for everyone to get off the ferry and these two Dutch guys come by and they started to give me the "look", you know the one, where you KNOW they were going to wander over. Well my buddy who had never riden with me before had just had 4 solid days of people coming over and talking to me about my Spyder. As these two guy appoached my buddy on his C90 (nice looking bike) said "Hey everyone talks to him about his bike, come talk to me about mine". Dutch guy turns to him and says "Why nothing special about yours!" I felt so bad for him :(
