• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Fender Removal

Since I rarely ride 2-up and avoid the rain like the plague, I think this will work okay for me.

Mine also had the weld to the swing-arm break off on the muffler side.

So far so good without it. I figure if the roads are dirty enough to 'splatter', the Spyder would need a good wash anyway.

Mine broke in the exact same spot.

Good luck with keeping your Spyder clean. I hope not having a rear fender works out for you cuz it sure looks sexy. :doorag:

I have been fenderless since day one. Never noticed any disadvantage.
If it does spray water up, I am long gone before it comes down.
I do have a trunk on the rear, but really, no disadvantage at all for me not having it.
Just dont hang your tag under the tail lights. While it looks like it will have plenty of clearance, It will hit the tire, even when riding one up, when the road gets rough.
With the tag up here it works fine:

With it down here it WILL hit!

Like I said, I have had mine off for over 2 years and have my tag hanging down just as the above and have never hit the tire as long it is angled up a bit, does not take much so I am not sure what you mean above by stating it WILL hit the tire. Still have not and I ride two up more than I do 1 up on long drives.

I love the tag in the most recent post. Does anyone know where to get the tag relocator? Evoluzione is everyones choice, but I can't find one online. Also, how is everyone shortening the fender?

Thanks from a NEW Spyder OWNER!!!

Take pictures of the broken brackets and email them to Can-AM it will speed up getting new brackets, because they are not covered under warrenty. But with pictures email to them you may have a good change on them replacing them, that is what I did

My fender will never go back on and have never had issues with my gf getting wet on the back. Also IMO I would recommend this for mounting license plate. Free and easy!
