• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

YUASA SMART SHOT 900

After reading lots of posts about battery tenders and battery chargers, I went out to the garage and got the device that was included with my 2008 SE5. It is a YUASA SMARTSHOT900 BATTERY CHARGER MAINTAINER. On the front of the devise it says it's a MODEL #12V900. On the back it says it is a BATTERY CHARGER, MODEL #VM12990-02. It has three lights. One shows A.C. POWER, one shows CHARGING, and the third shows STORAGE. I was concerned that I might have been damaging something by using it to charge my :f_spider: battery. The previous owner said he always kept this hooked up when he as not riding. I only used it when :f_spider: failed to start after sitting a long time. I am reluctant to state that I am so unknowledgable about things like this AND very little about my HOT RED. However, I am learning, thanks to reading what so many members here have shared and explained, many times complete with great pics. Many thanks to all of you.

NICE BATTERY

Sandy, it's nice but, it's $143.00 and it's only 21 a/h rated and I don't think it has a two year warranty.....The motobatt is rated at 25 a/h and does have a two year warranty and I believe you can get it for $115.00 delivered at the Amazon.com site I sent you to......Mike....

I provided the link to YUASA's website for a reference only for the charger/maintainer I have. I am not and would not purchase any of their products or recommend any of them. I will be a MOTOBATT owner soon.
