Securing Trailer

I just got my new 622 trailer and it is great!hyea: I was curious when you get to your destination do you lock up your trailer and with what are the different ways of securing it? I would hate to get it stolen.

I use a tongue lock and a long cable lock with built-in alarm. The cable is long enough to go thru both wheels and shock. I carry a second cable to go around a fixed object if necessary. (hitchshops.com)

I cut a length of chain that wraps around the shock, then through the wheel and pad lock it. If, you feel the need to lock it to a post or something, then you may need a couple of lengths. That is if you like the idea.

Ditto...except fot the alarm. I padlock the hitch latch open (if the trailer is parked separately)and use a heavy cable lock through the wheels and around a fixed object if possible. I lock the trailer hitch latch closed when atttached to the Spyder. The trailer cover slows down folks that might want to break in. Nothing will stop a determined theif, but these things works for most exposure.
