There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Elka shocks

I installed new Elka shocks on my RT today. I went for a short test ride. My Spyder goes around curves and corners as if it is on rails. What a difference in handling! Hope to go for a longer ride soon, to better test out the new shocks. So far I am very happy with them.;)

We put a new Elka shock on the rear of our GS when we were at Spyderfest...boy, did THAT make a HUGE difference. Then we won the set of front Elkas so we are all Elka'd up now...heavenly ride!

With all these great reviews of the Elkas it is making me want a set. I have seen they different stages which are the best for the Spyder and how much of a discount can you get from the online suppliers?

I bought the Elkas from Cowtown. Be sure to tell Len that you are SL member. They have the best price. John at Elka recommended buying from Cowtown. Got them at lower price. Len is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Time frame

6 business days, Cowtown to Camas WA. Just got my fronts this evening and will have them on as soon as I get an appt. Several other things I need done before our next long trip. So for now I only get to look at them.

:agree::agree: Len's the greatest! :thumbup:

I installed the Stage 2's on my RT last weekend and like Sam says, it feels like it turns on a rail now. I got the stage 2's because I enjoy taking a 'spirited' ride around the twisties every now and then.

Len is the man and cowtown is the BEST dealership on the planet.

Still getting my stage 5s dialed in, and I'm getting very close to where I want them. Len and John were a great help with these. Think a little bit more preload loosening and I'll be good. Only purchase the front shocks, and I can tell already that the rear shock is my weak link now and will need upgrading as well.

Wow, I ordered mine on 6/20 from Honda East, just checked on them and they said they are still waiting for them to arrive. Price was very good but no confirmation, 3 unanswered emails and getting them on phone is a runaround. Cowtown for me from now on.

Hey, Flybuddy I am still waiting for my Elka shocks as well. I have no problem getting answers through email or phone from Honda East Toledo. I feel bad since I recommended them because of the price, they were over 200.00 cheaper then Cowtown even with the Spyderlovers discount. When I called Cowtown they told me it would be 3 to 4 weeks and to keep calling back. East Toledo also said 3 to 4 weeks and next week will be 4 weeks so they are still within the estimatated time frame. With the money I saved I can do another mod!!;)

Pretty sure they are on backorder from all they Spyderfest sales. I'm sure they'll have then soon. Just a small part of the reason I ended up going with stage5s... They were available

Thx guys...Honda East price is good and the only real issue I had with them is communication. I used their website to order and since they had just upgraded the site it had lots of glitches. Now that I know it's 3 to 4 weeks for everyone ordering I can live with that. Wonder how the Cowtown customers are getting them so fast? Anyway, I'm sure they are worth the wait.

Cowtown customers wait too. Unless they happen to have some install on a bike In the showroom and install on true machine for you or some such scenario like that.

Hey John-

Sounds like you need to lay off the guitar and start building more Stage 1+ Elkas... :ohyea:

Is the price between Cowtown and Honda East considerable ? We are debating getting Elkas put on at S.I.T.A --wondering if we should wait till then to buy them and have installed on site. Hmm...

Installing Elkas

I am installing Elka 's on Sat. Anyone happen to know the torque specs on the bolts? Thanks
