• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Tank Bag

I went to install the tank bag and the straps aren't long enough. They are 5 1/2 inches and won't reach. Can someone let me know how long the straps are on their Can-Am Tank bag? Maybe I did something wrong but this seems like a simple install. :dontknow:

Thanks in advance.

I just measured mine -- also a new install -- and they are 8 inches long. The fold over at about 4 inches, go through the bracket and return to the locking connector.

Not sure how long ours are, but they reach...barely. Not much left there to grab to tighten them. BRP needs to stop having this crap built in places like Vietnam. Just like blue jeans. Try on five pairs in your size, and they all fit differently.

I'd have that bag back to the dealer in a heartbeat. We had issues with the first seat bag we received. One side of the zipper wouldn't open, but the replaced it cheerfully and immediately.

+1 I bought a BRP tank bag and one of the two straps was sewn on upside down so the plastic latch was on the Spyder tank. It was nearly impossible to use. :banghead: I took it back to the dealership and they were willing to exchange it but that was their only tank bag and BRP backordered the next shipment on them. :sour: After waiting for a month, I just got my money back and bought an aftermarket bag that I made work. Cheaper and just as useful for my purposes.

Just got mine and am pretty impressed with the features like: each compartment is labeled with a picture as to what it's purpose is, the rain cover has it's own pocket and is attached so you won't lose it, there is a pocket for MP3 players with a hole for the headphone cable. I haven't used it yet but I'm sure it will be $15 well spent.

I held one of those up to the Spyder and it seemed a little long. Could be a nice bag for the money if you can make it work!!!!
