• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Great response from Border Patrol Agent

Coming over the mountains in San Diego they have a stop in the middle of the highway to check for drugs and illegal aliens and when I pulled up to the BP agent he said "Now that's what I'm talking about". That put a big smile on my face. :doorag:

:2thumbs: last year at the border crossing into Canada at Niagara Falls they had a guy directing traffic, he would let a few cars through at a time. When I pulled up he said "I'm stopping you so I can check out this rig"

Why did I just get an image of them popping the frunk and Tattoo jumping out screaming " DA SPYDER BOSS, DA SPYDER " and running into the woods. (except there are probably no woods nearby)

Been there, done that...

Very strange scenario north of SD... especially for a Pennsylvanian:

Pictogram signs showing a da, mom and kids runnign accross the highway (from the beach to the hills)...

Green ICE trucks criss-crossing the hills catching "runners"...

And right smack accross 3 lanes, like a toll booth, ICE agents under the car with mirrors, checking trunk, etc...

Like another country...

I had a cop pull me over

A police officer in a neighboring town pulled me over. I asked what I had done wrong. The reply was something like, "you haven't done anything wrong," but I always wanted to see a Spyder up close. I volunteer as an EMT in the town the cop was from and invited her to our station to take it for a ride. She took me up on it, and since then several officers have stopped by to "check it out." ( I made her wear my helmet, even though in Pa., it is not required)-and I won't preach on that since I have had to pick up many people without helmets who sustained massive head injuries.

We have to stop at BP stations often, we live in Texas and ride to New Mexico moutains a lot, there are BP stations between Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. The agent always gives us a big smile when they see a Spyder and give us a thumbs up. Great people doing dangerous work. Remember to thank them for their service.
