• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Panel not fitting well...

Hey guys/gals, quick question. On my '08 SM5, the top panel does not want to stay attached to the lower panel, and I have this tab that refuses to stay tucked away. Actually, its the same on both sides. Check the pic for exactly what I am talking about. If I take the panels off, does that tab click into anything on the lower? Thanks!

I doesn't clip to anything that I know of and if it's any consolation, mine is the same way. I am always having to tuck those tabs in behind the lower piece. Mine is an 08 GS SM5 as well.

NoJive, make sure to post any solution you find. I have an '08 SE5 and have noticed mine doesn't fit as well as I'd like it to.

must be a change to 09

My 09 GS the panels fit well. There is one major difference that I can see is that the grille part is a molded part of my lower panel.

Its been a while since I fixed mine. Seems I stuck a clip or piece of velco on the tab, hangs down just a little bit and stops the panel from falling in. It only needs about 1/4-3/8" .

When i had my Spyder [08] Those tabs would always pop out, I would just pop them back every now and then. Just ''me'' but cosmetic stuff wasn't high on my list.
That said i can under stand how it would annoy some. nojoke

When I had my RS those little tabs were most always stickin out. I didn't worry about it.

OR YOU CAN DO THIS IT'S FREE

Get, find, beg, borrow or steal a thin piece of aluminum ....the type that will bend easy ,but stay bent....it should be cut about 1/2 inch longer than the tab , put it on the plastic tab and rivet it, then paint it to match or better yet use black tape it lasts longer.......PS make sure the flat part of the rivet is facing you......then bend the alumin. out slightly......Good Luck.....this my Mod # 78.......Mike....But who's counting :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Does it look the same when the seat is lifted, or does it shift?

I have a Corbin seat that caused this before I figured out the shock was causing it by pushing the seat forward.

See if the seat if pushing on the base of the plastic which is lifting the center of that piece. Mine looked exactly like yours. Just a thought.:dontknow:

Good luck in solving..
