• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've lost my Spyder!

Perfect weather this weekend and no Spyder. :( For the next two days the wife will have it. She's taking the VA rider's license class. :trike: The course is specific to 3 wheelers and they recommend that you bring your own. I do get to ride it to and from the class for her though. At the end of the course she will get her certificate to take to DMV and they will put the motorcycle endorsement on her license. :2thumbs:

Now how do I talk her into a 2nd Spyder?

For now VA has only one license for both 2 and 3 wheel motorcycles. But, they are changing the law. If you test on 3 wheels after 1 July 2013, you can only ride a 3 wheeler. Test on 2 and you can ride both.

Just keep disappearing on it until she finally says "why don't you get your own"? ;) Fortunately, Lisa wanted to ride the 1st one herself and told me to get my own. I have a wonderful wifey!

Can you tell me where to go for info on a 3 wheeler class?

Not to step on the OP, but I'm assuming it's the class put on by the Apex guys:

http://apexcycleeducation.com/

I took their 3-wheeler class last year, definitely recommend it, even if you've owned a Spyder for a while. (They're also great for regular two-wheel training, too... pricey in comparison to, say, NOVA Community College MSF classes, but I found my stuff with them more enjoyable).

Correct. It's with Apex. I took the 2 wheel course back in April as I didn't want to wait to get my license. The 3 wheel course is held about once a month and it was booked for almost 3 months in advance. The wife started the 2 wheel course but dropped out as she became uncomfortable doing some o the practical exercises. Taking the Apex classes in Fredericksburg is about $100 cheaper than the other Northern VA locations but they do not offer the 3 wheel course there. They offer it in Manassas and Woodbridge (Potomic Mills shopping center).

Look on the bright side , your home alone and lots of good baseball on today .

Or you could always call a spyder buddy up and go riding bitch . :roflblack:

Let her drive and you ride bit-- and I know you will become that back seat driver like all you males do. :roflblack: Then
let her go to the dealer with you for some assessories for yours and just let her look at all the pretty new ones she will get the idea all on her own:roflblack:

You won't need to talk her into a second Spyder; she's already got her eyes locked-in on yours!

Start shopping for your next one! :2thumbs: :congrats:

I was pleasantly surprised to meet "Mrs DR Buck" in the class yesterday. Saw that familiar license plate and ran right over. She is quite a lady, sir!
