• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I saw the drowsy driving coming when you 2 were posting at 2:00 am last night! Glad you made it safely. Harvey sure does have a nice setup!

Man you are prepared. Video was great gave me good info to get ready."Organize", Love the LED lights on the license plate ! Is that from trick or your own concoction?

I'll be following the happenings here at SpyderLovers. I thought your shop was impressive, but SpyderPops....Wow! If I ever runaway from home I now know where I will run to.

We made it to SpyderPops place but it was a fight all the way. Ron didn't sleep at all last night and I didn't sleep much and both of us started going on the nod on the road. Ron was actually talking in his sleep as we were diving. We had the headsets on so we could talk along the way but when Ron would get quiet I would say something and sometimes he didn't reply back at all and that was freaking me out. At one point he said some random things and then when he woke up he said he didn't say anything.
nojoke

So unlike either of us we took some stops in between fuel stops just to walk it out and try and change up the pace a bit. That helped but it was a real fight still. Then we got stuck in major traffic and it was hot, my temp said 102 and we weren't moving at all. I was watching my new temp gauge on the RT and the hottest it got was 226 degrees but most of the time it was running around 216. The last 100 miles or so I was getting over heated and it really took it out of me. By time we got to Harvey's place I was done. The trip was 650 miles but it took us 12 hours to run it.

Harvey really has a nice shop here and I am so jealous of his setup. This a man cave to envy for sure. He has all the tools and lifts a guy could want and he even had a spare tire that we had to swap out on Ron's Spyder. That's another story but I'm too beat to go into that.

We have another long hot day tomorrow but I should sleep good so I hope to have a better day than today. Here's some pics of SpyderPops man cave.

Been there on the tired but, no fun.

Man I love Spyderpops shop, thx for photos!

Scary to think you were both that tired riding!!!! Hope you got some rest. I'm in awe of people who can ride day after day of long distances. Guess I've gotten old. At least, I don't seem to be cut out for that.

Do stop if you're tired!!! Staying safe is of primary importance!

Spyderpops has got one dream of a set up! WOW!!!!!!!!!

Arrive alive . Have a safe trip guys .

Spyderpops - you are the man  That's one nice shop

What a day! We left Hot Springs around 5:30am and had a great ride out through the hills of AK. The deer were pretty thick and I got to see Harveys critter splitter in action when he took out a rabbit going down the road.

I was really dreading another long day in the heat but it wasn't bad at all, we had a lot of cloud cover most of the day and that made for a great ride. We made it to Amarillo TX in pretty good time but we couldn't find any of the guys we wanted to hookup with and there were way to many people in that town so we decided to push on to Tucmcari NM. That was just about a big mistake. I was looking at the sky and watching the radar on my 665 and there was some real ugly weather ahead. It was hard to tell if we were going to hit it for sure as it looked like it was running both sides of 40. As we got closer to town it was pretty certain that we were driving right into it. One thing I had not seen on the radar before was a yellow graph, you would think that was light rain but it wasn't it was wind. Pretty soon the sky was black and brown and major bolts of lighting were coming down all around us. I still had my half helmet on and my dark glasses and I was getting to where I couldn't see a thing. I found an overpass to pull under and change my helmet and get a rain jacket on. By the time I got geared up I was looking for a pale horse rider, it was nasty brown wind and blowing hard! I dropped down from 75mph to 50mph to about 20mph and thought I was still going to get blown off the road. I could feel my trailer lift a little and I was waiting for the RT to go into limp mode seeing I was turning hard right but going straight. I knew the torque sensor was not going to like that. I was puckered up pretty good when the rain came, it was blowing sideways and only the right side of me was getting wet. When I got into town the truckers said that was a 60mph wind. I lost Harvey and the rest of the guys so I called and we met up at one of the hotels. As soon as we got under the canopy the sky opened up and dumped buck loads of water, we're talking flash flood type rain. We were lucky we made it in when we did. I would have hated to have been on two wheels in that storm.

We wound up doing about 700 miles that day and we have about 380 to Durango. I haven't checked the weather yet today but it has to be better than it was last night. Man what an adventure! :doorag:

Didn't take too many pics.
