• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Platinium Dealers list?

I have seen some posts referring to Platinum Dealers. I have looked around the BRP site and could not find a listing.
What does a Platinium rating refer to, sales numbers, service training, customer feedback?
Does anybody know the link or list?

I believe the platinum has to do with sales, inventory levels on vehicles and parts, as well as mechanic training.

I looked it up and I've got about 20 dealers within 200 miles of me but only 1 is platinum. I also noticed that they have the best service reviews. I'm not sure it has to do with sales. The dealer I purchased from claims they sell the most Spyders in the country and they have a large accessory section BUT they are NOT platinum and IMO don't deserve to be. If I ever have a glitch I can't fix myself I'm going platinum.

There are requirements and minimums for all of those plus they need to order X amount of closeout accessories to help BRP clear out older or overstock items.

The benefits are faster special orders (priority shipping and pricing) priority help desk (when the dealer needs to call BRP for help on a technical issue) and a higher labor rate on warranty work.

This is how you can tell a platinum dealer from a non-platinum. Non-platinum dealers hate doing warranty work because they don't make as much. Platinum dealers love doing warranty work as it pays higher than their normal labor rates in most cases.

For what it's worth, this is second hand, I don't work for BRP or have any affiliation other than being a Spyder owner.

what i find strange is that in Utah we have 4 dealers and they are all platinum dealers...even the one i got my spyders from is..and that is a small place. i have said it for years..i guess size really does not matter:D

Gotta say I have yet to talk with any dealer - platinum or not - that has not assured me that their mechanics are the best and even "BRP sends their guys and machines there for work."
