Nitro Fill

Just curious to know if anyone is running Nitro-Fill in your Spyder Tires. I have it in my pick-up tires and it is great there, like the ride + it added about another 2 mpg.

What is the beneficial differance between regular air and putting nitrogen in the tires.

The part that I question is how nitrogen in tires will equate to a couple miles per gallon improvement. I don't understand the physics here.

Anyone have a good answer?

The benefit basically comes down to more consistent tire pressure due to less loss of nitro compared to air... and thus a small improvement in MPG.

The molecules of nitrogen are larger than oxygen...

and don't leak out as easily, so the tire stays at a steadier pressure. Also, N is less affected by temperature than O.

nitro fill

early last spring, 2011, i put on new rear tire, had nitrogen put in all three tires. put on over 12000 miles, noticed no change in mpg, or how long rear tire lasted. i am not using again in new rear tire.
