• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I don't have them installed - but I think the Seal Floorboards (forum sponsor) are probably the most versatile option in terms of multiple foot positions. I am trying to decide if I am going to do floor boards or just highway pegs myself...

Along these lines, does anyone have suggestions for a REASONABLY priced set of floorboards? I can't justify spending $500+ for a piece of diamond plate. LOL.

You want fit, form, and function for floorboards and less than $500. Good luck.

I agree with Larrymz3.

I guess the prices are so redonkulous on some of the floorboards because there isn't a huge amount of competition. The pics I have seen do not appear very complex. Maybe it's time to check with one of my buddies who has a CNC setup....

Accessories are high priced no matter what you get. In the scheme of things--the seal floorboards are a pretty good accessory--$500 or not. They allow you to move your feet around if that is a problem for you and riding.

You could get a pair of Randy's 2 x floors--they are pretty reasonable.:roflblack:

Welcome back to the Big Show, Jim!
I'm not sure what John sells his Seal floorboards for, but it's certainly worth a look...
I've got an RT with a set of ISCIs; but that's another story...

So how do you like the new RSS? We'll need to see some pictures of it...

If you think $500 is too much then how about $1200. The Vertika floor board are great especially for tall riders as it's the only one that put your feet lower giving more leg room while still maintaining the stock pegs. Sure they are expensive but works great for me and look awesome as well, see photo.

Yeah, I could see spending the money on those...they are 100% custom, molded and formed...doing custom fiberglass shaping/forming is time consuming and expensive...the others are just cut from diamond plate stock. No molding or forming.

If you saw the quality of the construction of the ISCI ones in person, you would understand the price. They are master craftsmen.nojoke

hey larry

search the mods threads, many of us have made our own for very little money. there are several different designs. all of them are simple and easy to do or have done. nothing against any of our sponsors, they make nice products, although usually expensive.

Almost nothing for the Spyder is cheap, but I love my Seal floorboards and would recommend them to anyone!
