There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Daddy, be sure you put the little velcro tabs on the bottom of the plate. Keeps it from vibrating to pieces. I also put rubber washers under the plate at the screws. This keeps it off the bodywork, and also assists with keeping the plate destroying vibrations down. Michigan's plates are crap. Half my historic plates have cracked. I have had to back up some with aluminum plate.

Our plate quality is definitely sub par. The mounting position on the Spyder doesn't help though. It would be nice if we could secure the bottom screws. What velcro tabs are you talking about?

When our Spyder was delivered, there were two velcro buttons stuck to the fender on the lower edge where the plate hits. You stick the opposite part to the license, and it secures the bottom. The parts book shows them as #293740028, but calls them dual lock washers, so I am not positive that is the right part. They also specify four, so they may be used at the top, too. Seems like I used rubber washers there, but I could be wrong. I imagine any 3/4" velco stick on buttons from a home improvement store would do just fine. Your Spyder probably didn't have them due to being repainted before you received it.

I'm pretty sure that is the right part number as those aren't really velcro but 3M Dual Lock fasteners. And four would be right quantity as there are two that mount to the Spyder and two that mount to the license plate.
