• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

yoshimura r-77 carbon fiber -- sez 38.5 inches long , 23 lbs

two brothers m2 single carbon fiber -- sez 27.8 inches long - 20 lbs

ron wood racing pipe -- adds almost 7 horsepower

can am's hindle - just sez 32 lbs

i just can make up my mind -- leaning towards the yoshi , just cant deside.

they are all just about the same price.

i like the deeper throatier sound -- so guessing silencer out -- just no other spyder around to hear and you tube does help but its not the same as in person.

Hindle Exhaust

I put the Hindle on and it sounds great, also more pop when it was tuned to my power commander

on the newer hindles , do the rivets still come loose on the shields ?

plus the hindle is the most expensive of the single pipes that i am looking at -- is that only because it sez Can am on it ?

Had two bros single, hindle and Leo Vince. Just installed yoshimura and yoshimura is my favorite.
It's not loud as two bros but slightly louder than hindle but with deeper tone. Leo was may be little bit louder than yoshimura but yoshimura has better tone.
I don't think yoshimura I got is the EPA compliant, quiet r77 but the model before that.
I bought it on eBay what I think was sitting as dealer display for while.
It's little louder than I wanted(done the loud and want something quieter so i dont have to turn up stereo so loud) so will give the silencer a try.
I always felt bad when I go into a parking structure with two bros, just too annoyingly loud but not with yoshimura but yoshimura sounds really really good when I get on the throttle.

In any case, yoshimura looks the best, sounds the best and mounts more solid to spyder than other mufflers.

GPR exhaust

I had the hindle and I got tired of the rattle. I replaced the rivets and it still rattled. Anyway I settled on a GPR Thunder Deeptone. I've had it for a couple of months and I've got to say, I'm really impressed. The fit and finish is excellent. It went on without a hitch. And it was cheap. You can see all of their exhausts on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXHAUST-SYS...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3a6850e3cb
They also have some sound bites on YouTube.

Loud pipes save lives! I got TB dual CF and I love the my girlfriend has TB single we had ceramic coated black and the tip was painted neutron green to match her Spyder.

spx and the lowest price, and makes the spyder sound and run like nascar.:yikes::thumbup:

I just don't like the look of duals on the one side , one on each side is cool but too much money for me.

I think I am going to get the yoshimura pipe - its the best looking pipe on the spyder IMO .

found the carbon fiber Pipe on the Internet for $467

Does the silencer come out ?

Do I need a programmer if I only do the pipe on a spyder ?

Will I feel that little bit of power increase or will my ears just make it seem faster -LOL !

more power

you will notice more power. i made my own exhaust and you can feel the difference. mine also improved low speed drivability and manners in general:thumbup:

I'd love to see a picture of that

I am looking for a new pipe as well. Would be interested in knowing if a fuel programmer is needed for the yoshimura pipe as well. I don't know if I want to get into all of that....also considering the Hindle.

Silencer will come uninstalled and you can feel the extra pull, probably even without fuel mod.
Spyder will run without a fuel mod BUT your spyder deserves better.
You might be just trying to get rid of sewing machine sound but do get some form of fuel mod to get most out of muff and your spyder.
I first had just hindle, sure it was a improvement but it was leeeeeeeaaaaaaan without more fuel. It was what I described back than as hindle sounding "dry" at higher rpm. It was just lean fuel mixture.

Do get a fuel mod along with a high flow muffler, spyder will be much happier and please read up on hindle and stay away from it. :)

I highly, highly and highly :) recommend yoshimura. Sensation you feel air exiting your spyder is something else(none of muff I had before felt like this and yoshimura is only the 2nd loudest) but I am pretty sure it won't feel like this without more fuel than ecu can provide.

Which fuel controller do you recommend ? I ordered the yoshimura pipe . Pc5 , hmf , TB ?

And do I have to put the k&n air filter ?

Doesnt the controller void the warranty ?

Technically, once you put aftermarket muffler, including hindle, warranty is no more but brp has been very forgiving with muffler and a lot of other things, probably cuzz spydeR is so new and enthusiastic Ryders who are making changes to their likings. without these people, including myself who like to be unique, brp has nothing and I think brp realize that.
I can not say what will void your warranty but...

I think jb pro will work best for most. Pc5, auto tune, LCD combo works well too.

I have a o2mod from evo and a gadget to manipulate ambient temp to pump more fuel, k&n air filter and snorkel off. I used to have full pc5, auto tune and LCD set up.
