• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

And So It Begins.....

Our new contract is all but signed. It sucks big time!!

Starting in May, about $100 a month will be going out the door....

I know it may not sound like much to some, but when you're living alone with no one else bringing money into the house.... it's a BIG deal!!!

On the bright side, we are coming into vacation season, so there will be a lot of overtime available. I'm thinking of working a bunch of overtime and putting the bulk of that money towards my Spyder! I'm about a month and a half ahead on payments, so that helps! I'll have to try to save my tax returns for maintenance and such.... Hopefully we have no more doggie surgery incidents that suck up the tax returns!!!:pray::pray: Then again, I may just bank the overtime money in case of a money shortage (for future Spyder payments)..... I really haven't decided yet.....

Now I'm going to ask anyone who reads this to say a prayer for my 2003 Jeep Liberty! It's paid for and in good working condition!! It's got some rust, but I'm trying to take care of that with the old standby: naval jelly! Haven't had any really nice days where I'm not too busy to give that a try. I also bought some spray on truck bed liner for those areas. I figure it's worth a shot!!! :dontknow: If Ol' Blue takes a crap on me, I'm screwed..... The Spyder will have to go for sure.... nojoke:gaah::wrong: Hopefully it won't come to that......

Anyway, the rest of our contract sucks beyond belief!!! We pretty much have no rights any more. All of the things we had some control over have now been categorized "management rights". :barf:I'm sick to death of those 2 words!!!!

Thanks for letting me rant a bit!! Somehow I'll get through this!!!

Holly has a 2003 Jeep Liberty herself. Almost 150,000 miles on it and it's still running strong !!! The best 4 wheel drive I have ever drove. That thing goes through deep snow with no issues.

The CD player doesn't work
The heat doesn't work on high
A little rust
But the thing fires right up everyday !!!

...had a 2002 Liberty... GREAT little buggy!
Good luck under the new conditions! My Grandmother used to tell me that things have a way of usually working out...

I figured out the numbers. Barring any major mishaps, I should do fine. I'll just not be going and getting a lot of impulse type items any more...

I had the heater problem too!!! Only worked on #2!!! Searched online and found out the problem from other folks. Ordered a $25 part from the dealership, installed it, works on 1, 2, 3, and 4 now!!! I forget what they called it, but you have to remove the glovebox to replace it. It's some type of module that looks like a big computer chip. When I put the glovebox back in, a screw fell down behind it. :opps: I still have not recovered it, but at least it's not rattling around!!!

Mine has 74,300 and some miles on it. I do my own oil changes and check all the fluids myself! I'll keep driving it until parts are falling off behind me while I'm driving down the road!!!! Or.....until it starts to nickel and dime me to death..... :ohyea:

That fan control part is famous for failing on many makes and models of cars and trucks.
You can also buy the same part at an automotive supply for a fraction of what a dealer charges.

Jeeps... :gaah: I love them all; having had everything from a 1945 MB to a 2011 Liberty.. A couple of CJs, Wranglers, Grand Cherokees, a Comanchee, Gladiator & Wagoneer, in between.. :2thumbs:
But they can be finicky enough that you'd SWEAR that they've been built by Can Am! :roflblack:

So true!!! This is my 2nd Jeep. I had a 1999 Cherokee. Loved it!!! Except when the back end would slide around the the corner on you---for no apparent reason!!! :yikes::yikes::yikes:

Used the naval jelly!!! Got rid of a LOT of the rust. I sprayed over it with truck bed liner. Hopefully that does the trick!! Or....at least slows it down some.....

I wouldn't mind having a brand new Wrangler...... Maybe the money fairy will drop in on me some day..... :roflblack::roflblack:
