• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm thinking of painting the gray windshield frame flat black to blend in with the cowling.Any one have any ideas or have done it??

I know someone recently posted a blacked out windshield frame and I think they painted it with automotive paint. I was wondering if I could just power coat it, I think it would stand up a bit better.

I had my gray oem windshield bracket painted glossy black a few months ago. Here is a picture of the front of the bike after I remounted the painted frame. It really blends in with the dash so you may have to zoom in on the picture to get a better idea as to the finished product.

That's a real nice-looking setup with the tinted air deflectors... :2thumbs: :firstplace:

Unfortunately Bob. I failed in my initial attempts to tint the deflectors black. I did however have very nicely tinted blue deflectors, but decided I did not want to paint my black RT a Blue colour just to match the deflectors. :D
After I received and installed my Black/Grey Carbon Fibre Dash Kit from Pete it got me to thinking :yikes: about creating a matched look for my deflectors.

I purchased a sheet of carbon fibre vinyl wrap, traced the deflector outlines, cut and applied the wrap to the upper and lower deflectors. Here is a close up picture of one of the lower deflectors wrapped in black/grey carbon fibre. I also painted the screw channels black to get the finish I was looking for. Total cost of the project was about $15.00 and I am pleased with the results. If at first you do not succeed, try try again.

I painted mine black also along with all the lower silver areas and heat shield for the muffler all to blend with the timeless black I will try to take some pic and post for you
