• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After-market Extended Warranty

In a couple of months, my original manufacturer's warranty will expire. I would like to purchase an "extennded warranty for about 2-3 years. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can recommend a reliable and solid insurance company that writes extended policies for the Spyder. Perhaps anyone who has had experience with this matter, could share their knowlege/advice with us. I'm sure there are lots of Spyder owners who will be conisdering similar, either soon or not too distant future.

Thank you in advance,

I highly recommend the BRP BEST extended warranty! You will have a $50 co-pay but still worth it! I wouldn't recommend the Best Plus as it is a lot more.

Here is a link to a site sponsor Berts Megamall that has a deal on it:

Check with your dealer for price as there is a ton of markup in it and they will probably match Berts price.

Yelp, what he said.

BEST is good but must be purchased out of state since it does not conform with FL laws for insurance sales. Berts is great to deal with.
The caveat is it is not cancelable and goes with the bike so if you sell or trade no refund is forthcoming for the unused portion. My selling dealer for my new RTS is in St. Augustine and tried to get me a refund for my RS trade in and had no luck. Even though he says it is a violation of FL law to not refund the unused portion of a warranty. He was perplexed to say the least. I was fortunate for them to add half of my cost to the trade in value so I felt a little better.
I elected to go with the selling dealers offer of an extended warranty from Zurich. He even offered pick up and delivery service after the factory runs out since he is 114 mi from me. Since he has a great reputation I elected to go with it. It is prorated refundable in FL.

I use a company called Interstate. ZERO deductable. Thats right............zero deductable.

Does Best Warranty cover seals and gaskets like Interstate does ??? I would like to compare the coverage between mine and his and see what the better warranty is.

I wouldn't go with any policy that isn't BRP endorsed- which means BEST. I've heard too many horror stories from people that bought anything other than BEST.
