• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Winter Riding

I just did 2 hours yesterday at 32 degrees. Just beautiful. Snow on the trees and the farm land.

8200 miles in 8 months on wife's 2011 RTS. I am having a blast.

See ya in Cuba.

Good for you. :2thumbs::2thumbs:

Any ride is a good ride. I'm still waiting for the snow and ice to melt off of my access road to the highway.

No snow for us yesterday, but wind gusts up to about 25-30 mph on our ryde. Bruiser and I rode with some of our riding club for a few hours. Nice to be with Bruiser, but happy to get home out of the cold and wind!!

:gaah::gaah::gaah:

Record the coldest tempature you ridden in.

I am curios, what is the coldest temperature some one has ridden a motorcycle in?

Mine so far was 10 degrees with a 10 below with windshield.

Been a warm winter so far.

I really feel for you folks over there, over here in Oz we are fortunate we can ride all year round although in summer in the outback, it can get above 50deg celcius, nowhere near that temp around the coastal areas. No snow except in the Snowy Mountains (southern New South Wales/northern Victoria) and that's a very short season.

wish I was there with my baby girl,( ozzy land ) still waiting for a pic of a road train, here in the frozen north, just got a record snowfall and the roads not good, temps ok tho. I envy those that are able to ride most of the year. Perhaps in my next life...:yes:

Way to go boborgera. My wife think I'm nuts.

5/6 degrees 80 miles. That is cool.... I have a gerbing heated jacket, gloves, and pants. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I'm looking for the zero degrees to come. May not be this year. But, I'm ready when it comes.

Need to figure out the head gear. Just order some snowmobile masks, hopefully, keep the ears and face warm.

The only reason I have taken time off of my spyder is 6 weeks after I broke my collarbone, and 2.5 weeks after the navy installed Titanium to repair it. Other than that, when it gets chilly, I just wear my Gerbing Glove Liners and maybe their heated socks, and I ride year round in comfort. :-D
