• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Forrest, glad you made it.....

Soon, I hope to find :chat: the answer... to the ??:yikes:??? failure.... and then the resolution...nojoke

Is there any thing that triggers this that you can think of? Does it happen at start up or driving down the road? I'm sure BRP would like to figure this out as much as you would. :banghead:

I have a theory. Forrest, when you shut your Spyder off, do you use the kill switch first then ignition or just the ignition?

My theory is if you use the ignition first, the throttle body plates are not held closed for as long as they should be resulting in the throttle body failures even after the update.

I can answer this, ryding with Forrest in the first 2/3 of the Spyder Triangle 2011: sometime during the ryde, mostly at the start-up after a minimum 3-4 minutes stop:

Just talked with Service at CPS and they stated they talked with BRP and BRP is sending  a Throttle Body Position SENSOR, :dontknow: and then stated hoping :yikes: that it will solve the issue.

I would think (hope) after 3 of them have gone bad that something is causing them to go bad. Its going to take more then a parts replacer to figure it out. :dontknow:

The reason I mention this is someone posted about the annoying noise that occurred after they shut down their Spyder and they figured out a way to make it stop sooner.

I routinely use the Kill Switch.. However, that is not 100 % ..... maybe 98.99 % of the time.

Thanks Lamont.

I wonder just how many times that all have had the same issue and what BRP thinks is causing the problem?
I know I am not the only one who has this issue.
