• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Official SpyderFest 2012 Updates Post!

Can anyone tell me if there is going to be any vendors that do graphic work, pin striping? Things such as that. All the big rallies I go to have them and as I am getting a nice new shiny paint job I was wanting some accent work done  I wouldn't mind spending my money with someone who supports spyders. But, if not I will need to find another option. Thanks for any info guys.

Sily, I wish I could answer that, I can't. We are still getting vendors in day by day. Maybe, what you'll find by the time that you get here, is that we have a great pinstriper. One of our main artist is Danny Ferris. I don't know if he does instant on stripes. He's a custom painter. It's still early, we might have some 'hands on guys' that can do that. I'm not in a position to promise you that there will be a pinstriper.

Sorry,

Kevin

Sure thing. I'll send you a PM!

Everybody who wants to come to our "little " get together make sure you tell any motel you get a hold of that you are coming for Spyderfest. and there's a chance they could give you a break on the price. Good luck and hope to see ya'll here. Ryde safe.

Official Spyderfest 2012 Updates Post

My wife and I registered for Spyderfest on Sunday. Look forward to meeting other members of this board at Spyderfest. Has the list of attending vendors been updated in the last couple of days? When I looked at the Spyderfest site it had not been updated since 1/18.

someone get a hold of Frogg Toggs, and see if they'll send a
SMART rep; a long with some merchandise. GOOD rain gear
is ALWAYS in demand... but usually never in enough supply.

I think they would be a great vendor that would appeal to
EVERYONE.

How many miles

Does anyone have an idea how miles we will put on our Spyder's during Spyderfest. We have 2500 miles on ours and it has been away for the winter. I am kind of thinking of getting the oil changed before we go. We will be trailering our Spyder there. Even though we have had a very mild winter in Michigan I have lived here long enough to know we can leave and it be 50 degrees, four days later we can have six inches of snow and 20 degrees. See ya there, can't wait.

That will depend on what rides you go on while you're there. Some of the rides are a bit of a haul. Stevemac might be able to post the maps or at least the distances that were on last year's Spyderfest runs. I'm one of the ride captains for the Hermann Winery run and other than some of the vendor passport runs, it's the shortest, I believe. The Hermann run is somewhere around an hour and a half or so each way, I don't know the exact route or mileage yet since I haven't personally run it. We'll be doing mostly scenic, twisty routes. I recommend an oil change, but wait until you get here and have it done at Cowtown unless you do your own. Len is the most honest and reasonably priced Can Am shops I have had the pleasure to deal with. From here on out they are the only Spyder dealer that I will use and there are two other dealerships considerably closer. I hope that this helps.
