• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. RT Deals?

Made the mistake of having my wife sit on an RT when we went to have our RS serviced.:opps:
Can you RT owners tell me what kind of discounts you got on yours.
I'm looking at the 2012 SE5 RT Audio & Convenience listing at $24,999.

Big discounts are usually few and far between. If you like the service and the dealership, work with the dealer. They have to make something to stay in business.

I guarantee the missus will like the RT a lot.

I just purchased a new 2012 RT-S, I shopped 4 dealers and found that discounts are not what to shop for. The dealer and their knowledge of the Spyder is worth more than anything. I did get an extended warranty at half price and an upgrade to Chrome Wheels.

I should have mentioned I am considering 3 dealers and have been happy with all three in our discussions so far.
Have had service at 2 and been pleased so any of the 3 would be ok with me, just wondering about what kind of
deals you all have had.
May even wind up staying with the RS which is a viable option if the numbers are too out there.

Same as what others have said.
I was able to get dealer to include first 600 mile service as part of my deal.

I bought a 2012 RT from them in Jan. It was cheaper to buy from them and have it shipped than it was to purchase from a local dealer.
Call and get a quote. I paid 19,500 out the door for a base model RT
My sales rep was Curtis

OK how does this deal sound?
2012 RT SE5 Audio & convenience
List $24999
selling price $23350
trade in 09 GS SE5 6,380 Miles $11500
difference $11,850
tax, tag, + $99 dealer fee
Out the door $12,892

I think it's looking pretty good and the dealer is about 60 miles from home.

what say you?

Well it looks like we are going to be an RT family.

Our selling dealer actually had a 2011 RT-S and we settled on a price of $12,800 out the door after the trade-in.

We should have it in our hands by Wednesday. We loved our '09 GS and hope we have the same great experience with the new baby.

Thanks for your comments and assistance.

Can't you strip some of your mods off and sell them to those in need before you swap models ???

Chrome mods are peel & stick with the 3M adhesive, would not even try.
Graphics will stretch out and become useless when removed.
Got rid of the oem pedals and exhaust when I bought the new ones.
Dealer knows the trade has backrest, comfort seat and touring wind shield so I don't think he would be happy.
I emailed pics to them for the trade in price so it really has to stay like that.

Good thinking

What a smart guy you are. I was reading this and said to myself "Self, send him a note to check on 2011 bikes." I think you probably did the right thing. I bought in Aug last year and wanted mine so bad I had to keep my legs crossed. Got about $1,000 off list for a red RTSM5-AC. Could have gotten a little better deal on a grey RTSME5, but I only buy red or black bikes. That way my wife never notices. There are two red and two black out there as we speak, but together they wouldn't add up to the Spyder in cost. But even she noticed the 3rd wheel. She really likes it, which was good, seeing as it was already a done deal.

Wish you much happiness and many smiles per gallon.. Wonder why the duhicky isn't bowing? There it goes.

Sounds like a good deal- For 2 up riding I think you will be much more comfortable.
I sat on a RT at the dealer and wanted one But I,m having a hard time convincing myself I need a RS and RT for ONE person?
When I can I will have both!!!!nojoke
