There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Do we have a date yet for the 2012 Lamonster BBQ?

Floyd Baughman will be their with Bells and Whistles. May need directions since this is the first for me.
Another first is Spyderfest and have reservations in for the fun and motel. I ride with Ohio Spyders rider and they are planning on bring the Club Trailer with a groupe in chase. They are going to leave on Wednesday but we are leaving on Monday for a senic ride through the country.:doorag: :spyder2:tc:spyder2:

:spyder2:

I am interested in a set of your highway pegs and when do you think you will have them? Are you going to have them at Spyderfest? My email is [email protected] Thank you for your time.

I'm not going to say when till I have them in hand. I hope to have some by Bikeweek but who knows at this rate. I'll have them by Spyderfest for sure.

I have made the reservations for Bruiser and me. Sure looking forward to our first Lamonster Bar-b-que. I guess we'll be committing a sacrilege as we will probably trailer our baby. We'll be staying at Jameson Inn in Greeneville, TN. Got the AARP rate for room of $83.00. Oh, yes - AARP rate. Guess that's why we're trailering lol!! :2excited::ohyea:

Lamont, can you recommend any RV campgrounds in your neighborhood? Or should I say, your neck of the woods?

good rides in the area of Lamonts

Thanks for the info. Stanploff !
Once the dates are confirmed I will book our lodging in Pigeon Forge, TN

Check out Mapquest and you will see a couple of ways to get to Lamonts from Pigeon Forge. You can hop on the interstate (40/81) and jump off at Interstate 81 exit 23 towards Greeneville or for a more senic route (and the shortest) take 441 from Piegon Forge to Sevierville on towards Newport, this is the Newport highway. It will cross interstate 40 and will then be highway 25W/70 on to newport. This is only about 35 miles or so total from the Forge to Newport i think. In newport take 321 towards Greeneville, another nice senic ride, and 26 miles later your in Greeneville. I have never been to Lamonts but I think it is ten miles or so from Greeneville. You turn to his place before you get to Greeneville.
Lamont might chime in for more details to his place. Hope to see you there. You will love the area and the people. It is a wonderfuf beautiful area.

You would be better off booking in Gatlinburg, you are closer to the scenic riding and further away from the traffic nightmare.

Reservation Cancellation

But do they take cancellations, just in case?

I used the Jameson Inn website, and they will take cancellations. Check it out at www.jamesoninns.com. It is in Greeneville, TN and I think Lamont said it's about 10 miles from him - just a nice ryde. Check out the different rates that they have. Looks like a decent place to stay.

Can folks with other bikes attend the BBQ? I have friends that would like to ride with us but they do not have a spyder.

Will save this for Sept. I will owe you guys lots of Tim Hortons Coffee when we get there!;). My wife & I have been in love with the Pigeon Forge area for years. Always dreamed of moving there someday but the good old health care system in Canada keeps us here. All our holidays are in the US (Myrtle Beach in Feb.-Pigeon Forge in Sept.) Last Sept. we booked a Townhouse in Pigeon Forge that was awesome. Being an Old Fart has switched us from hotel rooms to condos. We hope to book this Townhouse in Sept. for 10 days.
We also love golfing, shows in the area & trying to keep my wife away from Cherokee Casino.
Thanks again Barry

I've marked the calendar! The 6-8th of September sounds good for us. Not sure if our schedule will allow for riding on the 7th (I may be driving a school bus) but we'll definitely be there on the 8th.

We go to Myrtle Beach at least twice a year. We avoid it at all costs in the summer. We're only 2 1/2 hours from there. Rode the spyder down last October for a three day concert. Bruisersbaby has a cousin that lives in Sevierville just outside Pigeon Forge. She worked at Dollywood for several years before retiring again.
