There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hi Guys!
Just me with another annoying question! :opps:
Has anybody installed any of these kits on their RT?? I've been "ESSing" mine out and have gotten to the point where it's this and the chrome wheels left!
I see these all over EBay for about $420 bucks or so and wonder just how complete they are, and what you need to do in order to get all of those fancy pieces stuffed under the Tuperware and working...
Has anybody done this???

I was interested in doing that myself, so I had one of the eBay vendors scan and email me the instructions. You'd have to use B.U.D.S. to calibrate the system with the correct heights. My dealer would only buy direct from BRP (they won't install anything bought from a 3rd party unless they purchased it) and the install was going to be $300+, so I rather go to the manual settings.:lecturef_smilie:

I added to my 2010 RT A/C but I had the dealer install them. They work great.

Glad to hear that!! If you don't mind me asking, how much that cost you?
:bbq:

My dealer will install anything as long as the box is sealed. I bought the kit on eBay for $389. They only charge the amount of hours that is listed in the instructions.

air suspension

Purchased the kit from my dealer and he installed it. Total for parts and labor was about $500. I am very happy with the system.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Roger! (Well.. except for that cover anyway... :opps:) It sounds as if I'd be best served by checking with my service guy to see if he's willing to install parts from a box that I provide, and then gather up another pile of money to shovel into his coffers when he's done...

I put one of those kits on last month. It is quite complete. The only thing I needed to buy was a tiny tube of Locktite sealer. As said above, all the connectors are already there. Supposedly it takes only 4 hrs. to install. Counting removing the Tupperware and putting everything back, it took me more like a weekend. The directions are easy enough to follow with the normal amount of "say what?' moments that become clear as you put everything back together. The part where one mounts the pump in a two piece bracket was ugly. I have no idea if it works as it has to go to the shop so the Buds can tell the scooter that it has new stuff. I can't get to the shop until the snow melts a bit. If you have basic "shade-tree" mechanic skills, I say to give it a try. The brackets are there, the holes are threaded, etc. Just a matter of putting it all in the right places.

Dumb question, did this kit already come on the RTS? My rear adjustable shock is losing air again, at a slow rate of 50lbs down to 10 lbs in 2 days.this happened once before and they replaced. Also never hear the compressor a,ir sound adjusting.:dontknow:when I do have air in it the ride is the best ever! Also when I adjust the ride height from the dash, it's different than before on my old cluster it gave me a read out similar to the digital temperature bar read out. Now it just says in orange "manual" :dontknow: Tomorrow it will be two year anniversary, and even though I have extended warranty I think the shock might not be covered, so I am taking it in today;)to dealership.

The kit is the same as the parts that come standard on the RTS and LTD.

The first thing you should do for a slow leak is to check or replace the valve core in the Schrader valve under the seat. Many slow leaks can be traced to this. Others can be traced to loose air line fittings. Failures in these systems are possibly, though, either from faulty fittings, leaking release valves, or air bag failures. The system should hold air indefinitely. If it leaks down, it needs to be looked at.

The "Manual" warning is usuially due to an error in the ACS calibration. In all likelihood the upper and lower limits are improperly set. Some 2011s were delivered this way, and there was a service bulletin for them. That shouldn't affect a 2010, unless an error was made during your previous repairs, the software was reloaded, the ACS sensor was replaced and not calibrated, or the cluster was replaced. Your dealer should be able to sort it out and return operation to normal.

Great!, Thanks Scotty, I will show your comments to the tech when I take it in today, and post later next week how the matter was resolved.

Mine had a leak in the airbag itself. Warranty work, BRP took care of it.
I just dropped my A&C in the dealer yesterday and asked David, the owner, if I bought the part from eBay would he install it. He said that because of warranty issues, he would not. He then called me later in the evening saying he found the kit for $390, but wasn't sure on what to charge me on installation, so I told him to quote me on the whole work and let me know. So Bob, maybe you can tell your dealer about finding the kit on eBay and see if they can match it. I'm sure the eBay seller is a dealer trying to get rid of the part and BRP are lowering the prices on these...:dontknow:

Shaku wrote this on the 27th... Hope this helps, the calibration sounds like the tough part...

 I'm not sure that I like the sound of what that might cost... :gaah:

But thanks for the info! I must have missed that part of his post! :opps:

Roger,
I think I'm going to have to invite you up to Chez-Denman for a weekend of Fun and Wrenches... Followed by a quick trip to your dealer... :roflblack: :D
