Living on the border of Vermont is not exactly the boondocks (OK, so we don't have a post office nor any traffic lights) but I got used to having UPS and FedEx and DHL drive right up to my door with Spyder goodies. (Dealer is far enough away that it kills a big chunk of the day to drive there and just browse accessories.)
Now I hear that UPS is only scheduling one visit per week to my town.
I checked the tracking of an order online which was placed July 4th weekend (I know, holidays throw things off) and it was scheduled to arrive on July 10. Today it's still in New Jersey.
Here's the geography lesson:
Day by day tracking shows the package traveled from Ohio to Pennsylvania to Connecticut (good, good--getting nearer) to Florida  to North Carolina to Virginia to New Jersey on it's way to Massachusetts!
I realize all I'm looking for is my one delivery and that they're trying to figure the logistics to conserve gas and still get a gajillion packages "there on time."
All I'm saying is, if you're ordering any parts to be shipped, and you need them close to the "expected delivery date" you might go back to considering that long drive to pick them up yourself at the dealer...
