There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Here's another Tim; a buddy of mine from work...

No photos of zzneonzz (Tim), or myself. Since I didn't do a system's check of my camera batteries before leaving the house, the batteries in the camera were about dead upon arrival at the event. My wife installed the newly charged batteries (wrong)?! :( :). And, when I was heading out for my demo, the camera wasn't working. Later she said it was 'operator error'. We will just leave it at that! :) Ha!

Anyway; here are a few more photos. The first one here is my stepson getting ready to take an SE5 through the cones, as my brother-in-law looks on..

Tim and Ed from my office.. (Ed's a former HD rider. He liked the Spyder in a straight line. But, the turning part he wasn't too keen on. :) Tim, on the other hand, loved it! And, was very impressed with the power. Since, they both have the M endorsements, they did the actual rode demo, as well. :)

When we first arrived, we registered, and we got our picture taken by a Spyder, and we received a lanyard with an ID card. This card has a code that you use to access your photo online within about a 48 hr. period after the event. Before the demo, we all watch an 8 minute video describing the Spyder. And, the Can-Am Team provides a breathalyzer test. After the demo, we did a short evaluation on a terminal screen, and they gave us a nice 2008 Spyder World Tour T Shirt. Very cool!

Kudos to FRS Powersports for bringing Can-Am to our area, and to Can-Am for having a really nice Demo! Everyone was very friendly, and very helpful! It was a blast!

And, it was great seeing Tim (zzneonzz) again. We had a chance to visit quite a bit yesterday. I know he's getting anxious! He placed his SE5 order long before I even knew what a Can-Am Spyder was! :)

And, finally; my impressions of riding the Spyder through the cones. The length of the course only allowed you to get into 2nd gear, although short shifting allowed 3rd. Executing the cones was cool. The Spyder is nimble. The turns were pretty tight, too. And, the breaking is really good!

We were at the event about 4 hours. People were arriving by car, and many types of bikes. It was interesting watching some of the people arrive, and walk up to look at the Spyder. And, yes; there was a red one. My wife loves the 'red'. :)

The HD riders, and there were many there, seemed to be impressed with the Spyder. But, my belief is, the folks that had never ridden a motorcycle, or the ones that had not ridden a motorcycle in some time, may have been more impressed. Some of the people, I know personally, are trying to compare the Spyder to a motorcycle. You know; 'It doesn't lean??!!' 'How can that be fun??'. On the other hand, many like that unique aspect of the Spyder.
One guy that I spoke with came on his Suzuki Hyabusa (you know; the World's fastest production bike - detuned a bit from it's original top speed of 204mph). He thought the Spyder was very cool!

Thanks for sharing. Most of the guys I ride with are HD guys, being a former HD guy myself, and they've all been very interested in my Spyder. Of course if they want to ride it they're gonna have to go to a demo day.

I've been riding on the street since I was 14 (moped) and have had 2 wheels since I was 16 and while I find the Spyder to be different I don't really feel like I'm not riding a motorcycle.

At any rate I know how much I like my Spyder so it's great to see other excited new owners. I just don't know how you can take the long wait. Once again thanks for sharing.

For me, the wait won't be so long. During this time, I am reading up on the TN State Motorcycle Manual, so I can get the test out of the way.
Tim (zzneonzz) ordered the SE5. So, he knew it was going to take awhile. But, I can tell you, talking with him yesterday after he rode; he is ready for his Spyder to arrive! :2thumbs:

Great pics! I came in about 1430 yesterday. Wow, what a turnout! I came to take a SE5 out to compare it to my SM5 and never got a chance. From the time I showed up until I left I was bombarded with questions. I'm quite used to this by now though, it takes me 30 minutes everytime I stop to get gas. I love the look people get on their faces when they find out a chic owns a bike! Priceless! So some words of advice to those future Spyder Ryders: If you have to be somewhere by a certain time, add at least 30 minutes to your commute if you have to stop!

You are correct i'm definately ready for it to be here. I told Travis yesterday that they should not have tortured me with that test ride knowing I have atleast a month or more to wait!!!:2excited:
