• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Soft bags for the Spyder: Anyone know who makes those? When I get bags...

... that's what I want. That way when we travel, I can have them on. Around town, they come right off. There's a girl in California that has some on her Spyder. And, they look really nice! I saw the photos on the Ryder site.

Not to mention, they have to be much less than the $1700 that the Corbin's cost. When I mentioned the price tags of the Corbins to my wife, I thought she was going to choke on her beer.

Here they are....

What ones are these?

Large soft bags are nice for carrying stuff, but they leave the passenger pegs unusable. I used the Nelson Rigg Silver Streak mini bags and they keep passenger pegs accessible. Available in silver for silver Spyder and black for yellow. Don't carry as much (basically stores our rain gear), but my wife has a place for her feet.

I also bought NR CL 950 saddle bags and roll bag from New Enough, but I will say that if you get any of the larger ones like these or the Cortech, just flip them around and that fancy upsweep is now a cutout for the passenger legs.

We rode all the way to Canada with our bags on the "right way."

Stopped at a rest area on the way home and in two minutes flipped the bags around the "wrong way" (big deal: the reflector faces forward) and got mucho credit from my lovely bride (5' 10" tall) for giving her more comfort on the return ride...

Also, NR sent me extender straps so that they could wind under the passenger seat OR wrap around the the grab bars, which was great customer service I thought.
