There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Amarillo by June

I could listen to George Strait's version of "Amarillo by Morning" all day long just to hear Buddy Spicher play the fiddle intro and breaks. May be the best fiddle playing I've ever heard - absolutely beautiful.

It is a great piece of music.. Unfortunately people feel the need to sing it everytime they meet us So, it can be annoying at times. :)

So I'm told ... there was to be a balloon festival the weekend I was there but the snow caused that to be canceled.:(. But the canyon was gorgeous!

Yes Hawk. We have a balloon festival every year with a morning glow and a morning lift off out of the canyon. It is very beautiful. It was sad that bad weather ruined it this year. You should try and come see it next year.

Yes, I can see where that might be annoying. Especially since the folks doing the singing wouldn't have the benefit of Buddy Spicher's fiddle accompanying them. But with or without George Strait or Jason Aldean, Amarillo is a fine place.

Thanks! And believe me.. You DO NOT want me to sing it to you either.. Can not carry a tune if my life depended on
It ;)
And, I am glad you like my part of the world.

Haven't been to Amarillo since '78. Used to stop at the Big Texan near about every time I went through on my way to NM. In fact, last time I went through, there was a blizzard. Y'all do get some rough weather in the panhandle. By the way, I prefer "Houston" by the Gatlin Brothers.

Summer trip

We are looking at coming thru and spending a week in the Amarillo area the first week of June, We are on our way to Durango, the next week we are looking at a week in Albuquerque, before going to Durango the 18th.

So We are looking for an RV park in the Amarillo area, if you know a good one and we will have to do a few rides together and lunch or dinner.

Right on!! And YES we do get some nasty weather here. It's because we get what comes off of the mountains from the north and west. Makes it nice to go skiing since it is all so close but..whew.... Those cold winds are brutal!!

Ok, I looked around and doesn't seem like to many places actually... :dontknow: There is a place out on the north side of town by the little amusement park and Zoo. Not sure on the
prices But I can get the number if you like.. Also, there is a trailer park here near me but, I can not find the number for it. I will have to go ask. If you want me to I do not mind at all. Just PM me the size of the trailer and stats. :ohyea:

Looks like I will be going to the Durango event instead of spyderfest. Still would like to meet up with anyone coming through for dinner if interested. I will be leaving Amarillo June 19th and staying at the Ramada in Albuquerque that night, then on to Durango the 20th. Coming back home the 23rd. Anyone wants to meet up and ride through? that would be awesome

I may even talk my son into coming. But, he wants to drive the Spyder! :yikes::lecturef_smilie: And I don't know if I can be the passenger again.:roflblack::roflblack:

Spyderfest got cancelled because I will be in Vegas from the 22nd-25th.
