There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Please respond with a "YES" on the survey above if you are planning to stay in Albuquerque on 6/19/12 and need lodging. I'd like to get a headcount so that I can try to get a group rate.
Thanks!

Hopefully this will help Lamont get an idea of how many folks are going to show up for the "Big Ride" to Durango. BRP are you listening-we're going to need a film crew!!

Spyder Ryders of North Texas will be in Albuquerque June 17th through the 19th

Spyder Ryders of North Texas will be in Albuquerque June 17th through the 19th. Leaving Atlington Texas June 16th, staying over night in Amarillo, Tx then June 17th headed to Albuquerque to hopefully meet up with other Spyder groups so we can all ride together to Durango on an agreebale date.

I haven't yet plotted my timing, but it is likely my bride and I will overnight in ABQ on the 19th. I know there was another thread with some timing for Amarillo then ABQ and that I'm hoping to be in sync with it. Sheeesh I'm old.

We could also do a moonlight ride along Tramway to Bernalillo that night. Great views--and gorgeous. I checked the lunar calendar and unfortunately it will be a new moon that night--but it's still cool to ride at the base of the mountains out to historic 66 for some coffee and pie.

I look forward to seeing y'all! I moved out here last year from Dallas, so I know exactly where you're coming from. I'm planning to take the 19th off from work, so we can ride all over. Also I can link up in the evening of the 18th if you're available. This is good stuff. Can't wait!!

I'm planning on the 18th and 19th. I am also looking at the 23rd and maybe the 24th as well. Parking my truck and trailer while in Durango is still a consideration for me.

Thanks for working on this, Andy ...

I am working on this whole time table and travel, but it will probably be me, Sonja (my better half and amazing lady) and the fearless Moxi! (yorkie).

Staying at the Days Inn in Amarillo june 16--806-379-6255
then Ramada in Albuquerque june17,18,19--505-296-4852
then Ramada in Durango june 20,21,22--970-259-1333
then Days Inn Clovis, nm june 23--------575-762-4491

Amarillo is booked full for convention on the June 23, 5000 people, no rooms left, so drop to clovis and then thru Lubbock and home.

We may want to consider other hotel venues. I checked on Route 66 Hotel & Casino and the Sandia Resort & Casino hotels (both with large lots great for a rally point) and they range from $169-$179/nt before taxes. Even with a group rate, it's going to be really expensive. I'll look around at other options. We could still rally at Sandia or even at the Balloon Fiesta grounds if need be--without paying a fortune for a 1-night stay. Thoughts....?

Ramada Inn/ABQ

Just made res for 2 beds..$63.20 + tax ... no prepayment required...if cxl by 6 pm of arrival date no penalty....such a deal and they guaranteed clean sheets!!!!:roflblack::roflblack:

ABQ_Spyderman, I think if you found a couple of motels that were side by side and were reasonably priced to begin with, most of us would be fine with that. Even if you can't get a group rate, if they are priced right and close to each other, you could post their info and at least we would have a place to stay with other Spyder folks. Find two side by side, think $65.00-$80.00 range and I bet that will work. I personally don't need anything fancy and the Casino price for a room is too rich for my blood. Just need a place to put my head on a pillow.

Okay, I have a call in to the Candlewood Suites off Menaul. It's pretty much perfect--right off the interstate, plenty of food places nearby, and ample parking--and everyone says it's great. Starting rate is $80/nt. I'm waiting on the director of sales to get back with me. It's also close enough to jump on I-40 and head around to the back side of the mountain and do the crest/turquoise traile/NM-337 (from my Chilili video), etc. I'm hopeful they will give us a favorable rate. If not--I'll keep on looking!

I'll keep you updated. And I'll keep the light on for ya! :)

I also spoke with group sales at the Ramada Inn off I-40, and they can offer us $59/nt group rate with a complimentary upgrade that gives each room 2 x queen beds, refrigerator, & microwave. It also includes Free breakfast (eggs, coffee, muffins, juice, etc.). If we get 20 rooms, they will give us one free room. This sounds pretty good! They also have a ton of parking, and it's in a pretty decent part of town with great freeway access.

I'm in for that! Great price! Let us know if we have to check in under a group name. My group will take two rooms for sure and possibly more as we get other members to commit. What's their cancellation policy?

Ok I got dibs on the free room :D:yes:

OK--they have us blocked. When you book your room, do it under "Spyder Motorcycle Club" and you'll get the group rate plus the upgrades. Cancellation policy is fantastic--you must cancel by 4pm on the day of arrival. They have a pool and nice facilities. You can check them out here: http://www.ramada.com/hotels/new-me...=&rate_code=SP2&adults=1&checkin_date&rooms=1

Check-in is after 3pm; check-out is noon. I'm sure they can get you in sooner if you need an early check in.

This is great for me too--I live 4 miles from the hotel. :)

If you have already booked--you can call back and tell them you're with the "Spyder Motorcycle Club" (or the SMC as I'm now calling it) and they'll give you the rate.

Can't wait for y'all to get here! I've been riding solo for so long I feel like this is Christmas in June!
