• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wondering what product a lot of you were using to wax your spyders with? I know it makes the bugs come off easier, and also the dirt. and now it being "the OFF season" I want to get a coat of wax on.

This could have just as many opinions as which oil is better. :roflblack:

Best wax...

In a word "Zaino" is in it's own class if you want the best, all the show car guys know this ;)
And if your looking for a metal polish the best I have ever used is called "Flitz" and it too is in a class by itself. While on the subject of keeping your Spyder looking good for vinyl and plastic I would us "Aerospace 303"..keeps the black plastic black as it has a UV protectant without the silicones you find in armor-all etc. If you need to remove nearly any type of scratch from clear plastic guage faces to windscreens and even painted parts I would recommend a product called "Novus". All of these products represent the best you can get and of course they are priced accordingly but what I have found is "a little goes a long way" with each of these products and because of the superior results of each is probably more cost effective in the long run, you will also find many uses for them on things just around the house. :)

In my opinion, the only opinion that counts is my opinion,Unless in your opinion my opinion isn't valid, Then I'll go along with your opinion, As far as opinions go.
Also in my opinion 10w 40 is better than 5w 20. ;)

I use Fast Wax, that has Carnauba in it and lasts up to 6 weeks but for me, I use it often about once a month. For the seat, I use Shine & Go. I let it sit for 30 minutes, than wipe off. It doesn't make the seat slippery. For the console and lower black panels I use Moto-Tec Shine up Liquid and for the tire side walls, I use Tire Wet. I do not spray any of these on and spray it on a pad and than apply it. For the Windshield and faceshield on my helmet, I use Plexus. I will also remove the panels several times a year and use an anti corrosive on the engine when its cold and other bare metal parts. BRP dealers sell this and its called XP-S. This is used on Sea-Doo's and since I live close to the Gulf of Mexico, its recommended. Its also recommended for high humidity enviornments. For any chrome parts, I use Simichrome that has been out for years. After cleaning the wheels, I use Armor All Wheel Protectant.

I've been thinking about trying a wax with Teflon it it, the same stuff I use on my boat. I may try it on a small spot out of sight to see how this works and how long it lasts.

I agree with 15. Used it in my Harley and now in my Spyder. Greatest stuff out there. I can get caught in rain and when bike dries NO spots
