• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nah, whats the point of having an RS if your lady doesnt ryde up on you?

Well I wouldn't buy one... but it does provide for an interesting discussion with the engineering and design folks! :2thumbs:

Reminds me of putting a topcase on an old, naked Beemer. Never was there a more ill-handling combination in the world! Truly a case of the tail wagging the dog.....er, Spyder.

This however, does bring up an interesting topic. How is all the casing for the RT held up? Is there additional framework, is that framework welded on? or is it possible to disassemble the RT back end and retro fit the back end of an RS. Based on my limited knowledge of the way the Spyders are designed, I would be astonished if there are not weld points and additional "frame" supporting the backs of the RT, however, that does not mean it wouldnt be possible. Anyone out there have a wrecked out RT where the back is somehow completely ok and availble to be examined for this purpose?

Now my engineering mindset is all interested in more information, curse your eyes arntufun!

Nothing is impossible if you throw enough time, sweat and money at it...
Curse your eyes! :D

Looks a little like my 2008 and 2009. Givi bags, Corbin travel trunks and fairings on them. They were a bit sportier looking than my RTS--and they were a little snappier performance wise. The silver was an SM5 and the red was an SE5.
