There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I plan on keeping my 2008 Spyde for a long time

I have 57,000 miles on my 2008 Spyder and plan on keeping it until I get somewhere around 100,000 miles on it. Are there others who plan on keeping their first Spyder for an extended time or mileage? I just out of curiosity this year when I had about 49000 miles asked a dealer what kind of trade-in value I would have on a new RS or RT and his response was with that many miles on it I would be better off to just keep ryding it, which is what I had planned to do any way but was curious about what kind of value was left on it with that many miles. He wouldn't or couldn't give me a figure.:dontknow: Like I said I plan on keeping it and do whatever needs to be done until it gets to be too expensive to keep, of course it is paid for so I can afford to make a lot of repairs and still not be paying out what I would with payments, and I really do love the our Spyder. :2thumbs:

Just wondered if I am in the minority, wanting to keep my Spyder and keep racking up the miles on it. :popcorn:

While I would really like to get a RT, I too plan on keeping mine for a while. At least for another 54 months :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I plan on keeping mine until the redesign of the RS. At that point in time I will have to decide if the redesign fits my needs and either order the new model, keep riding the 08 GS or go back to two wheels for a bit.

I feel almost the same way, except I wont go back to 2 wheels. If a sporty reverse trike from another manufacturer comes along, I'll look it over, too.

Forgot to mention

I forgot to mention that that is another reason I want to hang on to my Spyder for now, I hear rumors of another model coming out in 2014 somewhere in between the RS and RT with an 1100cc engine and a 6 speed. It should be interesting to see what BRP comes up with whether in 2014 or earlier or later.:thumbup:

I plan on keeping mine 10 RTS unless it gets 2 expenive for repairs or they come out with another :spyder2: that will get 40 + MPG than I might think about buying another.

Your Spyder is in very good shape for all the miles that are on it. :thumbup:

Thanks Randy and Bob.........but let it be known it is by my hand not my wife's...........just wanted to clear that up in case of any confusion from some of the posts about it being a wife's job!!:shemademe_smilie::roflblack::roflblack:

With Turbo? :dontknow::popcorn:

Why is it that I can sense your palms starting to sweat whenever you feel that somebody might mount a "hair dryer"on top of an engine?? :shocked: :roflblack:

Been riding my RS the last couple of days and it still draws a crowd everywhere I go. I see no reason to sell it as I wouldn't get half of what I have into it and it's still fun to me. :doorag:

I am hanging on to my 2010 RTS until something comes along that I deem to be better and worth trading for. Buying a new spyder every year or every other year is not a good financial investment--I lost my shirt on the 2008 for the 2010 move. I took that hit because I HAD to have the new RTS.

I had 2008, 2009, and 2010--but the parade stopped there.

Unless I hit it big at the casino or the lotto, which I'm not holding my breath on either, I'll be keeping my 2009 that I just bought this summer, at least until it's paid off. :2thumbs:
