• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We are here in St. Ignace and guess what, it is raining. We even got a little bit of rain on the way up yesterday. I guess it just wouldn't be a Spyder trip without the rain. Oh well, yesterday was mostly beautiful with a nice ride and nice folks. Took a little longer than I anticipated but as the group grew things just take more time. Crossing the Bridge was nice, can't wait to see the video. Paula said Butch got some live footage from the Bridge Cam. I took a few photos along the way and hope to get some more in today. Here are a few and hopefully others will add theirs to this thread.

It was great to meet all of you Fri morning at Nordride !! Sorry that you have some rain. Rick and Jan

Lamont,
Wish you had been there also. We had a really nice day and nice ride today for everyone heading back home. A few minor snags like when I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I was listening to my music, enjoying the beautiful day and following a small band of bikers that I assumed was also headed to the "Tunnel of Trees" Well, I missed my turn and we all ended up at a dead end and had to turn around. Good thing it was a nice day and a nice ride or I might have been lynched. Then, I missed the next turn because I just couldn't read the sign. I really need to start wearing my glasses when I ride. To add insult to injury, I thought the Legs Inn opened at 11:00 and made sure to leave a little later in the morning so folks could stop and eat. We got there and they didn't open til noon. So no one ate at the famous Legs Inn. I didn't think to take pictures either, I know Brian has a few and I hope a few other people post some as well. The view off the back patio was gorgeous. The 'Tunnel' was a very nice ride as always with spectacular views. I hope everyone had a nice time despite Saturday's rain.

Here are a few miscellaneous photos from the trip.

great people, great week-end..

thanks to the Tang's for organizing the ryde. the weather didn't cooperate...but it didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits. i really am looking forward to ryding with you all again...hoping all who came from out of state had smooth ryding....i of course, got wet on the way home...:gaah:

No matter, thanks again to all for the wonderful experience:clap::clap:

I posted these in Seth's thread. I blew it again on the video. I have one video of the Tunnel of Trees that I won't be able to upload because it is too big. Someday I'll learn how to use the GoPro. We thought that Deb looked like Forrest with the hat on.

Beautiful pictures!!!!!! Wish I could of made the ride maybe next time. My daughter had surgery and needed me home with her. I missed you all !!!!!

Joan and I are glad to hear everyone either made it home safely or found a place to spend the night. We had a great time, even if we weren't able to ride Saturday. While we didn't ride it gave us the day to plan our next long trip and what we need to do to the Spyder to ride two up in preparation. It was good to meet some new Spyderlover friends. The only problem I see is now that Gene has been in Michigan, I'm not sure the authorities will let him back in.LOL....... As promised, I'll start making plans for a fall color tour of the Tunnel of Trees. Watch for info in the next few weeks.
Bob
