• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

you have to use your own preferences.. and the comments of everyone else on here, as contributing factors. and there are A LOT of good contributions on here.

everyone has different needs... for different rides. some OEM SUCKS! on every brand of bikes... and there are some that will fit YOU perfectly; that I wouldn't waste MY money on.

just read therough here and some other club forums... and I thnk you'll find a good mix... that'll WORK for YOU.

and then put it on here... so we can improve our own. ;)

heat shields

Hi there
heatshield.jpg

Spyderpops heatshield is shown in the larger opening above the highway peg. The smaller opening directly behind the peg is a shield i made using a thin sheet of copper painted flat black. I was concerned about covering both openings and the heat buildup, but, with taking off the bottom pan the bike actually runs 1 bar lower then before. No more feeling like you put your foot in front of an acetylene torch.

The vehicles you mentioned are great right out of the box. I recommend not making any mods until you have a thousand or two miles on it--then you really know the bike and what will work for you.

In my case--I put on some lights, a Corbin seat, and floorboards.

I did make the mistake of installing a Utopia backrest on my stock PE edition seat--turns out I did not like the stock seat--now I have a hole cut through the original seat and a backrest attached. I learned a good lesson on that one.
