• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone noticed what the MSRP numbers are on the website??!!

Maybe I WON'T be shopping for the Limited afterall...

Have you priced out a 2012 Wing triked out :yikes::yikes::yikes: or a Harley :yikes::yikes::yikes: RT Limited doesn't look so bad now.

Ok, so the new pricing for '12 is now gone.
But it looks like an increase of 10%. Thats a big increase for anything. Obviously Can Am is capturing their fair share of the three wheel market...

I was at a local dealer the other day to get a helmet for the wife, and asked the salesman what they were asking for the triked wing they had on the floor.

$38,000 :yikes::yikes:nojoke

Where did you find the prices posted for 2012? I spent a half hour last night searching the web and could only find 2011 prices.

I also can't find a 2012 price? What was the price you saw. Up here in the great white north we easily pay 10-15 % more for the Spyder and accessories. After all they have to ship it at least 300 miles to get it to my dealer.

They must lower the price 10-15 % when it crosses the boarder and sell them as used .:roflblack::roflblack:

I guess that I missed the "new and improved" 2012 pricing... If it's up as much as you're saying, they're going to kill the goose that's been laying those golden eggs! :lecturef_smilie:

Are you sure they didn't accidentally have the Canadian prices posted?

I'm hoping this is what occurred somehow. The prices disappeared shortly after I saw the numbers.

I'm sure enough now that I will continue with my plans of purchasing after chatting with Len at Cowtown...

Gold is at $1625+, silver is over $40 - cotton, coffee, corn, etc are through the roof…. 10% is not much, given the rate the value of our $$ is plummeting...

:agree: Besides if 10% is going to stop any one from buying, They would have stopped buying Gas long ago.

Hey, everybody. I don"t own a spyder......yet. I'm currently searching but must sell my 09 Vegas Jackpot first. I've been to several dealerships looking for a RS/RSS model, hard to find by the way . Just yesterday a salesmen told me, BRP plans to increase the price on the 2012 and maybe the 2011 models as well. I don't know if this is true but I can tell you that most dealerships can't seem to keep the sport model in stock. All had RT's but few had sport models. I suppose, "supply and demand" maybe the culprit for a possible increase in price?

I'm certain this was not a sales tactic to get me to buy one before the "prices go up" because I told the salesmen I was looking for a used 2009 or 2010 model when he made this statement.

:2thumbs:.If the prices really have gone up 10%, then I am a "happy byker" that I just got my 2011 RT Limited from Cowtown. If you are serious about one from them, they only have three 2011,s left (one is a "performance edition":D) and one 2010 used RT. They also have one good looking 2009 RS Sport Touring Edition (their "special" mod) which I traded in for the Limited. It needs to go to a good home!

Here is a used 2011 for sale http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?31878-Best-deal-2011-spyder-rs-s-with-exhaust

Hey if the 2012's go up 10%, than the used ones should also go up in value as well. Also if the new ones are more expensive you will get more in trade in. The bottom line is that if you already have a Spyder it's only the difference figure that matters in a trade in. The real impact will be in new sales to new riders. If the price gets too high sales will drop so BRP will have to lower the new price in response to market pressure. All in all the price will reflect the economic environment and supply and demand all other factors being equal.
