• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm curious to know how you Spyder Lovers feel about

Harley gear

I was riding Harley's as a passenger a long time before I learned I could actually ride a Spyder. I'm not throwing out all my Harley gear just to ride my Spyder. Not reasonable or practical. Plus not much Spyder gear out there to choose from. BRP gear is not that prevalent or interesting in any size -- especially for women. I'll continue to wear my Harley gear while riding with my Harley and even my Goldwing friends. :ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

if you are riding, to make a fashion statement. stay your butt on the couch. if you're riding to enjoy the ride... wear what works for you.

I've ridden for 44 years now. on imports, domestics; what ever I could throw a leg across. I normally purchase unmarked riding clothes, for the simple reason that, I HATE to give free advertising to yuppy logos, that are manufactured in a communist country.

I bought an H-D rainsuit, when I was working at an H-D shop; and couldn't pass up the employee price. that was twleve years ago.

I still have the no-name jacket, no-name chaps, no-name gloves, that I bought the year before. they all still work; and I still wear them. I could care less, what the yuppy fashion farts think about what I wear when I ride. I don't ride for their approval. I ride for my enjoyment and peace of mind.

that's why my bike isn't parked outside of a shrinks office...

you ride what you want... you wear what you want. because it's YOU. not some other fashion freak...!

Wear what you want. My Dog DooLittle found the right vest for her, but it had the harley emblem and wing (probably why it was
so expensive to begin with.) Well she asked me to sew on the RT patch, the smaller one, and guess what it covered it.

This one pictured is 4"X 4.5"

So the option is to make it your way.

this is 9.25 X 10"

Sooooooo cute!!!! Great idea with the patch! :2thumbs:
I also wear my Harley jacket and helmet as well as some shirts at times. My husband rides Harleys. I don't think there is anything wrong with it at all although I would prefer to have some nice Spyder clothing! They just don't make a lot of :spyder2: things for women no matter what size we are! :gaah: Still trying to get someone to make some nice stylish :spyder2: shirts for us! :dontknow: Bottom line is: dress for yourself & don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Someone out there may not agree but you can't please everyone! :D

Ditto..Amen...well said...and :agree:

Wait a sec, you wear clothes when you ride your Spyder?
Actually I have owned at least five different brands during the last few decades and I wear whatever works. So Hondaline Jacket for moderate weather, Icon mesh for warm, Heine Gericke for sort of cold and a Cabelas Snowsuit for very cold. HD, ICON, Scorpion, and HJC helmets to top off etc. Wear it like you stole it, just keep the Spyder running if you are into that kind of stuff. Makes a lousy get a way bike, too long to start!

"So ya gotta please yourself.
But its alright now.
I've learned my lesson well."

Oops, sorry bout that flashback.

I would bet you would be happier with a generic leather jacket , not advertising anybody. ....but I have a closet full of HD tshirt from different bike fest... Wear what feels GOOD. Shop around , don't settle for something you don't really like , cause there are a lot of great leather jackets out there., Look at the mens jackets!! I did, they have cool pockets and are all around better than most of the ladies. I think.:f_spider:
